At least that's an easy job. Inner, outer, or both?

Boy, I sure am glad that I pay $250/month for health insurance

Went and got my tetanus booster. No antibiotics necessary because the nurse says I did a (direct quote!) "professional job" of the cleaning & bandaging :bananadance: :humble:

BUT...in order for my health insurance to cover the tetanus shot, I have to get an exam. Since it's an urgent care center, my health insurance has a $100 deductible. After that I have a $20 copay for the shot.
OR...I can pay for the shot myself and skip the exam and it'll be $94 flat.

I'd probably opt for the flat $94 for the convenience of not needing to schedule, take time off of work, and go to an exam

I chose option B as well.
Still took 'em an hour to get me in, though.

After that it was 'Take your shirt off. Alcohol swab. Needle. Done' 5 minutes, tops, for her to check my wound and stick me with a needle.

Well, Doctors and Insurance companies have spent decades pointing the finger at each other for their screwed up billing system that ensures they both make as much $$ as possible.

Different states different regs, but in general I think we need reform of all parts.

Work just screwed up our ins now. We pay the same but we have to spend like $500 a year out of pocket before the policy kicks in.

With the new healthcare system (unless it gets repealed) there is not much of an incentive for young people to get insurance. In the past it was smart to get healthcare. God forbid you got cancer without ins no company would take you on after you were diagnosed. You had to maintain coverage just in case.

Now you get cancer and just sign up for ins while you wait in the hospital. We created a system where you can purchase the insurance only when you need it then drop it and be assured you can obtain it when you need it again. No wonder the premiums are shooting up.
