True that. I taught the girlfriend how to shoot when we went out to CO not long ago. I thought she would stick to the smaller calibers, but her favorites were that .357 and the 1911 Colt Commander in .45

 

Well, drawing it or showing it at all with intent to intimidate is usually considered brandishing for that purpose. The horrible 'gansta' grip is just extra egregious.

 

I really do need to look into getting a CCW, but I won't hold my breath since I'm living in Somerville...

 

Some of the bigger caliber pistols have a heavy slide so the felt recoil isn't bad. I can shoot my 1911 comfortably for a long time but my old man's 357 revolver is ridiculous.

Yeah... a man can dream I suppose.

 

Tell me about it. I doubt I'd ever get one. My own stupidity though

Wow, just got home to CT and came upon a small 4 pt buck on the right side of the road. He didn't move and I missed him like you would a jogger.
I flashed the next car coming, I wonder if he thought cops or deer? Either way I hope he slowed.

 

I know I should be wearing safety goggles @Pugga... But I like living on the edge!

Went out last night and bought a new TV too. They still had a nice one left over from the Black Friday specials. Now my TV's downstairs will get moved around and the one in my bedroom will be the TV that the new X-Box gets hooked up to in the game room upstairs.

 

Drove to Maine last night as we're taking our daughter to the Polar Express Train in Portland along with some of the wifes cousins kids.

Got to use my caliraised amber pods for the first time and they worked nicely in all the damn fog on route 1 up here. They need to be adjusted some, but I was pleased. Throw seemed to be between high and low beams which is perfect as I just wanted them for foul weather driving.
