The fj would be sweet! You wouldn't lose that much! You gain a locker and atrac plus I will bet it's much more capable stock than your runner is currently...

That's my plan. Lift kit first then the IFS skid, then diff skid. then maybe the LCAs

I think only that Trail Teams Ed. gets the rear locker. The rest have the Auto LSD that the Tacoma has. I could be wrong though, it happened once before

Good plan . I'd get a transmission skid and transfer case skid before lca, rear diff .
I was looking at the rear diff skid today but I guess Jerry say not to run it if you have axle wrap . And I got the wrap lmao .

That's interesting... How would axle wrap affect the skid plate?? and if you can't run it if you have axle wrap, why the hell did he even bother making it for the 2nd Gen

Oh yeah, I'll just leave this here...

Not sure it if fits the Off Road though... Says it fits 8.4" diff, that's the sport and SR5 right?

The TRD fj's have lockers and atrac. TRD fj's are the ones that are solid colors, not the ones with white roofs. The fj's that are 6-speeds are awd full time though, the autos are 2wd/4wd.

I think it hits the driveshaft when the axle wraps . I just briefly read about it .
Ya that won't fit and it's way to expensive .

Are the TRD and the Trail Teams 2 different options packages? The TT packages I've seen are the Army Green and Red ones, all solid color, no white roof. I think it has rock rails also.

Yes they are different. You prob don't notice the TRD ones, they have the same alloy wheels and stuff... TT's just an aesthetic package IMO, except the rock rails. But you can buy those from TRD for any fj.

Gotcha. I tried looking it up on Toyota's website but I've found that site to be less then helpful when trying to see what's included and which packages are offered.

It's not as bad as the stock pack but its still there. They have softened up . I love the way they ride and they flex pretty decent too.
