I love it! Tieing the 2 subjects together. I went up not long ago and some guy had a new Renegade in orange with the channel stiffeners that matched. When talking to the guy I asked if they were made in that color and he said no he had them coated by Central Mass powder coating

 

Damn some of those other BS threads move at the speed of lightning compared to us. I know that some people don't post in here because it can get busy and hard to keep up on but hot damn those other threads are busy! I have been watching/lurking in some of the others and I don't know when some of those people even sleep or work

I really want/need a PA system in my truck. Seriously debating getting a CB with PA and installing it for the PA, then slowly getting around to the CB. Whip antenna anyone?

Also, I drove in 4WD all the way into work to get used to how she drives. Everything is copacetic, except I'll probably have to take it out of 4wd to park or leave my lot. Turning is a bitch.

 

Don't use 4WD on the dry payment. You will bind up the transfer case because as you turn your front tires are going a different speed than your rears. Can lead to a catastrophic failure.

It was all wet in waltham so I ran 4wd until I hit the highway and switched over.

 

I also did not know that. Thanks Rob @mach1man001! It was pretty wet the whole way here, but it's not worth the risk.

 

Yup, it can bind the chain up inside of the transfer case. It's an expensive fix to have it rebuilt. Don't ask how I know the costs involved in repairing transfer cases...

Being new here I can tell y'all that this thread moves fast to me. And also being new I tend to just lurk cause I either don't have much to contribute or I don't want to say something that people can take the wrong way. So better for me to just go with the flow and jump in when I can.

 

It's a BS thread, so just jump right in and BS away! Lord knows I have no clue WTF I'm talking about myself, nor have anything useful to contribute either.

 

Personally blown up 2 transfer cases. First on my 82 K10 - auto hubs didn't lock right away and grenaded the case. Nice hole in it. Second on my 96 Cummins. Snap ring broke allowing the gears to float around inside. Made some really nice noises...

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure I didn't even introduce myself. I just started posting shit. At least on the B.S. thread. I'm a little more reserved elsewhere.
