Too late now. It's already in the system. If he goes to another place for the inspection they'll see the notes on why the truck failed.

did he get an official reject? or did they just tell him to go because it wouldn't pass?

He mentioned he had 30 days to sort it out. I would assume it's an official failure. At least RI allows for window tint. Had he been in NH, you know the live free or die state, he couldn't have any tint at all in the front doors. Cops definitely pull over for that.

I don't think it gets recorded as a failure. The inspection is tied to the registration in the system. After 30 days, the DMV could pull the registration without an up-to-date inspection.

It's why I want to switch to Mass. Auto taxes are cheaper, and I can tint my windows.

Years ago in RI, many people would register a car, never get it inspected, or have valid insurance. Now it's all tied together.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
That happened to me before. I had an inspection done at the same place that had passed me for years but that day was cold and wet and I had left the windows up. I was wondering what was taking so long and looked in right as they had the meter on my windows. They pulled out with a rejection sticker on it. I was so pissed I was screaming at the guy telling him my truck was the same as it had been for the last few years and they had passed it and also said that if he knew my glass would not pass he could have at least tell me up front. In the end I had to find someone that would pass my truck, had to pay for the inspection again and gave him an extra $40 for passing me

Ahh, you're Asian. That works? I'm guessing you've been wearing the Hello Kitty outfit?! You know, plaid skirt, backpack.

It's just cuz she's a chick. My friend was caught street racing. Since she was in the lead, she turned on the water works and claimed she was being followed. Cop believed her and never went after the other guy.

I can't play cute and innocent, so I usually just play dumb. Somehow got away with doing 120 in a 55 once.

I did get failed but not sure how it sticks to the registration. Someone already gave me a shop that might look the other way, would love one closer to home near providence if possible so I don't have to remove the tint

Evo's been failed for 2 years... and it won't ever pass again due to the lack of emissions equipment on it. Fuck Mass and their dumb emission regulations.
