Plow hit my mailbox and knocked it off

 

Crap drives me nuts when they do that. To bad they don't seem to realize it's a federal offense if it has mail in it. The town here put mine back up the first year I put it up, then informed me that I was responsible if it happens again. Funny how the plow slowed down when the state police paid a visit to the town highway dept. and filled them in on the laws. I haven't seen another one off in years. I understand things happen, but they seem to be seeing how many they can get in a year.

 

Not much I can do about it now with ~30-40 inches of snow built up on the side of the road. Just left it on top the snow bank. And I am glad it wasn't a nice one or anything. Just a cheap-y that the previous owner installed.

 

how bad is the snow in southern ct? i'm trying to figure out if i should head out and see my customers or if they're going to be too busy taking care of the lots to want to see me

 

I'm in western CT and we didn't get too much yesterday. Biggest thing to watch out for today is the ice and crazy wind. Might be the same over there.

 

Work cancelled my shift for this

 

my last appointment just cancelled anyway so guess i'm just staying in today

 

Roads weren't even that bad this morning
Rt 27 in Natick was the worst I hit, and that had probably an inch or two of snow packed on it. Only time during my commute I had used 4 Hi

 

Lol. It's got a winch, added recovery points and what looks like a Bud Built skid plate. Plus the McFly light bar. That is awesome to see going around the ring

 

I was partaking in adult beverages and snow-blowing my driveway. Didn't turn the chute and blasted my mailbox will the full force of wet sloppy snow....it ended up about 25 feet down the road.

Using duct tape and some engineering, its functional again, albeit, really redneck looking. Looks like I know what my first spring project will be!

Half day for me. Gotta head to my brothers house and cut up a tree that fell across his driveway since he does not have a chainsaw
