I guess today, in Southie, DPW collected all the spot savers. Good for them! Southie is notorious for this crap.

I've never heard of spot savers till now...

If someone left a cone or something unattended in a free spot for a while, I'd probably park on top of it.

How does someone get in on that? I wanted to try and get it done before this winter, but I couldn't find the time. My bet is that it would be a long process with my wimpy compressor.

We're planning on doing it again this year, so I'll make sure I post up when we're planning on it.

Mine's all over the place. Never have figured out how it works. Sometimes it'll climb like crazy when I'm coasting down a hill in OD with the TC locked, sometimes it'll drop. In a 20 mile drive in the summer, it can vary from anywhere between 130 and 190 by the minute.

    Morning Rob!

Looks like I'm getting the RAAMmat on the 22nd. Then I'll just have to stare at the boxes everyday until it's warm out. :playball:

You can only install when it's warm? Or just no garage to work in?

    Morning all! Happy Friday!
I'm on vacation all next week, going winter camping! Pretty pumped to finally have some snow to do it with!

Sounds almost like you're getting false readings, if it's varying that much.

Well... depends on how you look at it.

I read the how to on their site, and it mentioned if it's installed while it's cold, they suggested using a heat gun a bit. Kinda don't feel like messing around with that to be honest.

I do have a garage, but because I have a raised ranch, my garage isn't very warm... so, figuring I'll just wait until it gets warm out, and then I can park the truck outside, to have more room to take stuff off and do the work.

Medford, ME. My buddy's inlaws have a cabin on the Piscataquis river up there that we're going to borrow. We used to do the full hard-core tenting out, but he's got two kids now and the last couple of years we've used the cabin so that his wife can bring them out and visit one of the days that we're there. When they're old enough I'm sure they'll start coming with us for the full week, and then probably we'll eventually transition them into the tenting out side of it too.

Cool, been a long time since I went winter camping. Used to do it all the time. But yes, I imagine with young'uns it's much better to use a camp!

Milo and Medford has a crazy amount of snow right now!! Have fun.

Yeah, it's a lot easier for a bunch of reasons. One of them is still in diapers, so that alone makes the cabin worth having. And since it's also a rabbit hunting trip, it's easier to put the shotguns up out of reach from tiny hands than it is in a tent, lol.

And we're not exactly glamping it; we still need to walk in about a mile, dragging everything in sleds or carrying it on our backs. So even though we're in a camp, we've still got good incentive to pack light, haha!

With the ScanGauge, let me ask a question... Say I am towing and I see the trans temp start to climb. What would I do differently, drive slower? Pull over? I can't see that happening. I don't really understand the value of it. I'm just gonna keep pulling that trailer until the truck doesn't pull it anymore. I just don't know what I would use the ScanGauge for other than to get me more paranoid.
