That looks awesome! I want to get my old DR in some dirt this year.

 

That's pretty good. Took my friend and I 8 hours to do mine, and that was with a Fluid Filmed frame (zero rust) and air tools. We had a lower shock mount that took us over an our to get in because the mounts were just too tight.

Not terrible for amateurs, though.

 

I think I was right about 8 hours when I lifted mine also. I swapped the front coilovers and leaf springs complete. Fortunately, my old man was a mechanic very early in his career and still has a lot of tools kicking around his garage as well as some tricks up his sleeve when it comes to stubborn car parts.

Congrats! That should hold, but I'd try a couple pieces of duct tape too.

I almost added some ratchet straps, but it might damage the paint. If I put a small spoiler on the carrier itself, the downforce should hold it in place, I think.

 

I'm sure you could mod one these to hold the car seat.

 

But that would screw up the aerodynamics of the car. It could become unstable at high speeds, dangerous even.

 

High speed stability is important for the safety of the baby.

This is quite the conundrum.

 

Is this what I think it is?
