Of course, this was more a case of torque multiplication. My old Slant Six only had 95HP & 170lb/feet when it was new, but I had it in low range and low gear and in that configuration you usually run out of traction before you run out of power.

Edit- Just ran the numbers and assuming 170ft/lbs of torque, in low range/low gear I've got 9200ft/lbs of twist at the wheels. Even if I've lost 20-30 over the years, that's still 8000

Mine bugs me for about a week when I start growing it. After that it doesn't bother me.

I keep mine year round long in the winter but nice and short in the summer. I'll usually have my last trim in August, right around my birthday before letting it go all winter long and trim it back to summer length around mid-April after I hang up the skis for the season.

 

I can't stand having a summertime beard. Dirt and sweat make it itch and it drives me crazy, even if it's just a simple 2-3 day stubble.

 

My 5 O'clock shadow is the same as my 5 month stubble....

 

I can't go more than 3 days before it annoys me. Plus, I start looking like a homeless person.

I've used some scissors to trim a few whiskers here and there to keep it from getting all forrest Gump like, but that's it.
