What does your dual battery setup consist of ? Did you find that you needed the extra juice when using your winch ?

I put a second battery in the passenger rear corner to supply accessories like lights, stereo etc to insure against draining the main. Used a National Luna battery isolation/management set-up. Beefed up power wires and grounds as well.

The winch draws some big amps under load (400+ when really pulling) so I switched out my alternator to a higher output unit. I use it more up in VT pulling trees than wheeling though.

Here it is as its hooked up today:

Thanks Snoope..ain't always easy but gotta do what needs doing in life. When I was 13 my mother was in the hospital all summer so I looked after my younger sister and tried to do stuff around the house when my father was at work, so I guess it prepared me haha

And yeah I wish I could get away from the snow..

They fuckin towed it???? Assholes. We CAN tow cars for that but never do, and usually tell people if they take care of it by the next day we'll throw the ticket out. No sense in fucking people when the economy sucks and it's close to Xmas... Sorry man.

^ I want to do another run. Got the truck aligned and inspected today. The alignment seemed to have made a difference with the tire vibration. It's not gone, but I think it is tolerable now.

Thanks, I am glad you informed me so i know what to expect, hopefully my rates don't go up much. This is my first ticket ever, so i just ruined my perfect driving record, fuck me lol.

They towed it less than a mile. The cop was acting like he was being such a nice guy also, i mean he was being cool but he acted like he was letting me off easy. By the way he ran my plates because i parked in a handicap spot at a gas station. Fucking old guy was stopped in the middle of the parking lot so the handicap spot was my only option besides waiting for him and i was running late for work.

Those assholes just want your money and want to get you out the door asap. I am planning on going to the sales manager and giving him shit about the salesman.

:rofl:I like most rangers, my buddy that i wheel with has one and its really nice. My moms sucks to drive, doesnt like to go into gear, shakes bad at highway speeds and other annoying stuff. I never noticed how much i didn't like i until i bought a tacoma :D

Shouldn't go up, as it's not a moving violation.

I also posted in the tires thread.
What are you new englanders running for tires that handle our winters. I am on the highway about 80 mile a day.
Tread life is important as is the noise.
    Thanks
    Scott

I had firestone destination A/Ts on my old s-10. They are a very practical all terrain in my opinion, they handled great in the snow and rain and the tread isn't very aggressive so they were not loud on the highway. I plan on putting duratracs on my tacoma but those don't sound like what your looking for.

BFG TA/KO Load range C. Ive gotten 78k on a set before trading the vehicle in. That day those tires lost 6,000 miles in 10 seconds.

    Passenger tire was mid spin

My salesman screwed my license plate into the front bumper, instead of using the mounting holes an inch below. Not only that, it was crooked. I got him reprimanded/fired, $850 off for time wasted, and a new bumper out of it so I feel I won

If Mass still did that, I would get a set. I was always getting warning of no front plate on one of my cars. Wait, how did you get a green set, kind of young...

Good for you for making them fix it and pay for it. I need my 30,000 miles service done but i dont think i am going to bring it to the dealer screw those guys. The techs at my dealership are so miserable who knows what their hacking up in the shop.
