    A while back I tagged along with a couple friends--one was looking at new trucks. One saw a Chevy SS on the lot and commented on how it'd be fun to take for a test drive. The lady sternly said "That has never been out on a test drive. Only way it goes out on one is with a cashier's check for $10k in our hands."

    Leave it to Chevy to think they have something made of gold. It's a mid-$40k car, not a Rolls Royce. Plus, you could get a Charger for substantially less money and a Shelby GT350 for not much more.

    I did the same thing with my subaru. I went to 2-3 different dealerships before going to cityside. Cityside was the only place where someone came up to me when I walked in - all the others I could see the sales guys trying not to make eye contact, even the ones hanging out in the coffee area. I knew what I wanted to pay which was what they were asking plus a few addons and it was literally the easiest transaction the sales guy I worked with had. He also made a killing off me since about 10 other WRX/STI's were purchased through him from a referral I made.

    My buddy's dad does that with the Audi dealer. Goes in with lounge/yard work clothes on and waits for which ever sales guy will help him. Pays cash on the spot for his car.

    I did... then I started looking at aftermarket ones.. which spun off to back up cameras... then mounting options for backup cameras... then to waytek wire to order more electrical stuff....

    Needless to say I'm about to order 300$ worth of waytek wire supplies and no tail lights... still...

    I found a used set at a good price. The projector itself on the ones I'm looking to get are actually really decent. Then, I'll just need to drop in an HID kit, get the lighting control in the truck reset and paint the chrome grille surround and the truck will be done from an aesthetics perspective!
