Bobcats, yes. Mountain lions, no.

 

Officially there aren't any mountain lions here. Although there was the one killed in CT on the Merrit Parkway...

Morning everyone. Just got back from my honeymoon in Hawaii. There are a tone of Tacomas out there and it seemed like about every other one was lifted.

 

That was the one that supposedly traveled thousands of miles, isn't it?

I was convinced I saw one when I was out hiking once. I don't think it was a bobcat--it was a big animal. The time frame was right to have been that one before it made it to CT if it was in Western MA first. Always wondered about that.

 

You won't mistake the two. NYS says they never released any in the state but insider information says they put out 6 pair in a 30 mile radius of my house.

 

Most people disagree but there is def mount lions here. A few years back my buddy got one on his trail cam a cpl dif times rite here in Burrillville. DEM was saying no they are not here and he actually brought the printed out pictures to them,

 

Someone got one on their trail cam in Berlin NY. NY DEC said it was photo shopped.... If you saw the old guy that submitted it you could tell right off the bat he had no idea what the hell photo shop is.

I have seen a juvenile one next to my house. They are more of a darker brown. There's def a few in the upstate area. I mean DEC denied there was moose here until someone crashed into one on the road.

 

I definitely think it was a mountain lion... It had that same side profile as this.

 

Yeah, it was quite a few years ago now. I was on a discontinued road. The road had washed away over the hundred or more years since it was last used and the stone walls that used to be level on either side were now several feet above it. The creature was walking alongside one of the stone walls up above, maybe 50 ft away from me. I remember thinking it had to be longer than I was tall.

 

Holy shit, guess they didn't make it to the race!

Back to the fucking grind unfortunately... it doesn't even feel right being back at work right now.

 

Yea ive been going there for 10 years all times of the day. Did a trail tide yesterday ran munyon trail in quaddick state forest

 

This is true. When I was rolling up it must have just happened. I had maybe a couple hundred feet of traffic going up a hill and this was right at the crest of it. As a matter of fact when I was rolling up it looked like he was trying to move it (it was hopping up and down). If I was alone I would have pulled over but I had my whole family with me

 

Just found out Superwinch is moving from CT to OR--BOO! This isn't right away but its in progress

 

Wonder if he loaded it heavy in the back and it started swaying and he couldn't correct it.

 

Maybe. Camper was very old. I was just thinking he blew a tire or something

 

Lame .I was planning on getting one when I get a bumper cause they are right in CT
