In NH they take inspection licenses away if you get caught. Pretty much a death sentance for any garage.

One garage here had their license suspended for a month or two. Takes a couple strikes for that to happen apparently.

Wow, so they were supposed to be for a stock vehicle and ended up being an inch over a 2" lifted front end?? That's crazy and has be second guessing going with stiffer springs. I'm not lifting the front and don't want my ass that far in the air. I keep a decent amount of weight in the back but I won't settle a set of springs that much.

Yea I used to take cars to my guy all the time but lately I have been telling my friends to get their own connect because of all the spot inspections the do for garages now. I bring my car in at the very last minute they're open - normally when the inspectors are gone for the day.

Yeah, I think these springs gave me somewhere around 1.5-1.75 inches over stock once they settled and all they are is basically a Toyota TSB 4-pack with slightly thicker leafs. It was perfect for me because I wanted something that would more or less keep the stock rake with OME 884s up front.

I'd call General Spring--I bet they'd know what was typical for height from those.

So lame. The other annoying thing is that mgl and mass rmv standards don't jive. For instance, the tires sticking out thing. MGL says if you have 4wd it's not applicable, but rmv doesn't care as they make the ultimate decision

Yeah, I suppose that'd be the way to go. On SD Springs, the 3 options for my truck all have different arches, the stiffest springs having the least amount of arch. If I get serious about it, I'll give them a call. Thanks for the input though.

It's been like this in RI for a while. I drove around for a couple weeks with an expired inspection because the cameras were down at the garage I go to. And if the sticker is expired for too long, the states pulls the registration.

Mine was 3 months overdue, got it last week. My buddies is at 8 months right now, and he's got a 2015 gmc so it should pass just fine. He's just been too lazy to go get it

I have been alright with the evo - haven't gotten an inspection in over 2-3 years. If they don't let me renew the regs this year I'm just going to leave it at the shop and use the repair plate to keep it rolling around. I have 2 years before I don't have to worry about emissions unless they change the 15 year law or whatever it is.

    hate this state...

Damn, yeah NH doesn't mess around with tint. I'm planning on getting the rear of my STi done, and getting a prescription for window tint from my eye doctor. I refuse to peel the 20% off of my FJ's front windows.

NY has had cameras on the inspection machine for years. Doesn't mean we didn't go into a few vehicles with an open-source program and force readiness once or twice...

My FJ's sticker is almost 2 years expired due to a recurring CEL (no cats). I really need to get my O2 simulators working, or replace the upstream sensors.

They know how to catch forced readiness on the Evo and GTR's and some of the european cars - in MA at least

My local cops seemed to be ok with this, as they never bothered me after i put my front plate back on:

A VT registration wouldn't even be inconvenient for me, a VT PO Box would actually be more convenient than a MA PO Box. The post office over the line in VT is about a mile away. The one that actually serves my town is a 10 minute drive.

But ironically, VT cares more about TPMS than MA does, so it could be a problem. I disabled that system.
