Sebago was actually my first choice but I wanted to shorten the commute for my kids sanity..and mine, plus my son was in York for the week so if he needed anything I could pop over ad see him. I'll check it out eventually! I have some family up that way and they mentioned those plus lost pines on long lake as good ones.

Spark plugs, engine air filter, and cabin air filter changed this morning.

I love that I can do spark plugs in a half hour on this truck. On my H6 Subarus, it was 2-3 hours of pure frustration.

I also wonder why I change them every 30k (other than that's what Toyota says to do). They always look great and the gap is even still in spec.

I do mine every 60k miles and they look great still. Laser Iridium NGK plugs.

I just use the $5 NGK or Denso plugs the manual lists. On my Subarus I used Iridiums because they were such a pain to change and I wanted to go as long between changes as possible!

The previous owner of my FJ never changed the plugs. I changed them at 150k and they were still... decent? The gap was more than double what it should have been, but it's cool lol. I replaced them with iridium plugs and they've been fine.

I really need to tweak the tune on my FJ though. Not a fan of how it's running lately.

I think my 2tr calls for iridium plugs if I remember right

I didn't want to "shock" my well because I can't really go without water for a day or more at the moment, and I can't drain that amount of chlorine into the septic. I also can't drain it behind the house because it would just drain into the river, which wouldn't be a good thing.

So, today I poured just one gallon of bleach down the well to hopefully lightly clean it (for the amount of water I have, most sites were suggesting 3-4+ gallons). My water basically smells no stronger than a swimming pool would, so it's usable for everything but cooking (I don't drink it anyway). Time will tell if it did anything for the iron or iron bacteria. It sure did stir up sediment, though. I changed both my filters and flushed the pipes a couple of times. The amount of grit I collected from the aerators and the filter housings was something else. It's usually just a little bit.

Are you taking the ferry across Lake Champlain or driving across one of the bridges? The ferry that goes directly into Burlington is an hour and is a nice when the weather is good.
