I don't know if it's the same with the new models, but the previous generation, you had to be careful with running 5100s in the rear. The 5100s are good for 0-1" of lift so they could top out if you go higher. That would really only become an issue if you're really flexing out the rear. The taller billies are made for 3-4" of lift so you'd have to make sure you it your bump stops before bottoming out the shocks. You might want to consider OMEs rear shocks.

 

It's funny you mention that, Mike. I remember when I was buying my suspension going back and forth for days about that very issue. At the time Down South listed the 5100s as good for 0-2" and the 5160 for 0-1". At the time I wanted the 5160 because I'm a poser but was hesitant because I was going with the TSB springs and the Icon AAL. I rationalized in my mind that I was going to be taller than 1" but less than 2", which ended up not being the case because I got more lift in the rear than I had expected to. It was only after I read about the issues people had did I even think I'd run into an issue. The problem with the taller 5100's was that the connections were different, if I remember right and if you didn't go the true 3-4", you'd be too low. I think at the time I rationalized I wasn't going to be flexing out the truck all that often.

That being said, if the original poster isn't lifting the rear, then the 5100s should be fine. I haven't done a lot of reading at which point the ECGS bushing comes into play. I know with mine using the Eibach 620# springs and the 0.85 setting, I needed it. I'd love to boost the nose of my truck up a bit, but I'm hesitant to as I don't want to get back into the ECGS bushing BS.

 

I have one I can lend you as long as you give it back and don't hold onto it forever as I lend it out to others as well.

What a screwed up game yesterday. Referees absolutely sucked. I saw two blatant holding no-calls that would have stalled the Jets opening drive, and then that ridiculous TD reversal later in the game. Wtf?

All around weird-ass day in the NFL yesterday, really. And RIP, Green Bay's 2017 Season.

I did 5100s all around with OME 885 coils and a Deaver AAL in the rear and got right around 2.75" of lift in front. Level all around.

If you want to run 5100s with the stock coils I don't think you'll get that much lift. Marie at HeadStrong OffRoad is a wonderful resource!

 

I have OME 884 coils up front and General HD springs in the back, 5100s all around.

Got 2" front, about 1.75" in the rear so it more or less maintained the factory rake. I didn't want it level, because then when I have anything in the bed it would look nose-high. Very happy with the ride, and the General springs handle a load better than the stock ones.

 

That depends entirely on which setting you put the spring perch at.
