Morning all.:pccoffee: Weekend went by too quick and didn't get a chance to fluid film my FJ yet. Gonna have to wrap the damn cans in heat packs so they stay warm enough to actually spray

Our hourly people all complain endlessly about working any extra hours even though they get OT for it and it's usually very minimal labor for a pretty good rate of pay.

I definitely prefer being salaried to not--not having to punch a clock is great. But if I had the opportunity to be paid for extra time you bet I'd take advantage of it.

I try to only work 40. Screw working any more than that anymore. I did enough years of working 60-80 +hrs/ wk.

Also, just did a potentially stupid thing... signed up for a Spartan ultra beast in April.

Going to use it for training for hopefully doing an Agoge (formerly Death Race) later in the year. :bananadead:

I try to only work 40 also, but I can't tell you the last time that actually happened! Fortunately, I knew what my hours were going to be going in so, even though I'm salaried, I made sure my pay was going to be reflective of my job obligations. With my kids, I'm starting to be more reluctant to stay late and work weekends so I'm paring down.

I rarely work more than that. Only when I really need to. If something is important but not critical I'm not putting in extra time. It gets done when it gets done. Much rather hang out with the Giblets.

I think that's the difference I have. No kids, so I have the time to devote to work. Especially in the winter.

My pay is low compared to comparable positions in the area. My job and title evolved over the years, but my salary didn't change significantly. I fight for more every year, but they are reluctant to give me too much at once "because the unions will take issue with it when they ask for the list of non-union salary increases."

I don't care one bit what the unions have to say. I have nothing to do with them. Send them to me and see if they have the guts to tell me I don't deserve what I get.

Meh. As I said, I don't mind throwing a coat of paint on every few years. $15 worth of paint covers a lot of plowing, lol.

That's pretty neat! That last version of that I saw attached to the swing arm. I can't imaging towing with a motorcycle, but I can certainly see the benefit.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Went to my mom's house to help her with bringing in pellets in the house. I bought 6 bags into her house and another 12 bags into a store cabinet on her deck. Then she made me Mac & Cheese for lunch. Now I'm very tired and I don't know if it was from carrying the bags or from the M & C... :bored:

Hopefully from the Mac and Cheese...18 bags is only 9 trips.

I'm not sure why but my back has been killing me lately plus I had to open the door to bring the bags into the house. So I could only take one bag per trip. So it ended up being 18 trips but I still think it was M & C, I don't usually get this tired that fast

Gotcha. 18 trips back and forth would suck, lol.
I remember at our old house we got two tons of pellets delivered in one go and stacked them all underneath the basement stairs. Even with two bags per trip, it was 50 trips up and down the stairs. Legs were killing me afterward.

I still move the pallets of coal my parents get delivered a few times a year from the back of the house to a spot in the garage. That shit gets old quick
