I used to live out there, for like 11 years. Lived in South Hadley (town just north of Holyoke) and worked in East Longmeadow (town just south of Springfield). Not good places, so I believe that!

 

That's a nice cap Nuno, I have the exact same one. I painted mine in the backyard, it came out pretty good and didn't cost too much maybe $150 in paint and materials for prep. Just need a day or two to devote to it! There's a write-up I made on here somewhere in one of my threads.

 

Awesome! Glad to hear some good feedback/input on it! @vssman know's what he's doing, so I'm sure we'll be good to go! I just need to buy him the materials... paint, BEER, etc.

By the way... I have no problem in saying how much I'm paying for it.

He said he had it listed on FB for $750.00, but the 'add" said $500.00

He saw what I was seeing, wasn't sure why it showed that, but said he'd sell it to me for that, but wouldn't go lower. So $500.00 it is/was.

 

$500 is a deal for that cap. $750 isn't even that bad. That's the good Leer cap with sliding side windows and the integrated tail light! I'd guess it's a $2000 cap new.

 

That's a great deal on a nice cap! When I bought mine for my 2007, I paid $700 through another TW member out in NY. I got really lucky though because it was the right color for my truck.

You're probably not far off. I'd guess $1,400-$1,600 new with the options it has. The $2,000 ones new will have the slam-latch and the carpeted interior. I have a very similar cap on my Ferd now and it's been good.

 

SHIET!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I feel even better about picking it up and getting shit from the wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even with buying the material for vssman to paint it, and me buying him beer and giving him some extra $$ for helping, looks like it'll still make out like a bandit!

 

Anything under $1,000 for a used cap in good condition is doing well in my opinion. If you can find them the correct color, that's a huge bonus since repainting can generally run you a few hundred unless you can do it yourself. The color match is usually the killer for most.

 

Mine is just the plain boring black, for the truck color, so I don't think it'd be too hard to match. Plus getting "hooked up" by vssman for the painting part, so I think I definitely made out/am making out/will make out!

 

Yea i live 5 mins from the Holyoke line for 202 going up the mountain, and a quarter mile from the West Springfield line, I live next to bear hole. Lived in Springfield from 94 to 99 and been in Westfield since. Worked in Springfield from 14 to 16
