it was at some point and then it all went stupid. Pittsfield pushed GE out, then MA pushed GE out, NY pushed well everyone out, and they then tax the shit out of everyone.

Balise in West Springfield refused to do warranty work on my truck. They said " we don't want to get involved" So I made them document that I brought it to them, and what the issue was, and had to bring the truck all the way back to the dealer I bought it from in Boston, with the write up from Balise. I never went back to Balise again. They told me that they couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't end up paying once they start working on my truck.

 

GE Corporate was,up till last year, about a mile from where I sit. Ct pushed them out and they landed in Boston.

 

yeah forgot about how headquarters moved from CT to Boston.

Schenectady NY GE went from 30,000 down to 400 and they are laying off another 300 this year. kind of crazy

 

Yup, and of course GE was the biggest taxpayer in my town. So when the smoke clears, it will reflect on my property taxes, which are insane to begin with.

 

I'm amazed that there's still as many firearms manufacturers as there are in NY, CT, and MA. I mean, "We don't think that anybody should be allowed to buy your products, but we'll happily accept your tax dollars" isn't a great relationship between a business and the state.

 

As if this day couldn't get any worse, with all the bullshit at work... talking about snow from Saturday afternoon/evening.

Ruger started out here and the "original" small garage is still standing. They still have their factory in town, but operations there are minimal at best as most of their manufacturing is in NH and Az.

 

Remington has moved 100% out of NY now. What is great is before what happened in Sandy Hook Gov Como spent several hundred million tax dollars on revamping the two plants. After Sandy Hook he forced the safe act through and Remington moved to Georgia I want to say

 

.... but I like snow

Thank you for reminding me. I suppose I should bring my snowblower to the front of my garage and start it up and everything before I actually need to use it.

 

I've had the new snow tires on for a couple weeks and really want to try them out haha

 

Yeah, they got sick of it and left a couple of years ago, if I remember right. But Colt and Marlin are still there in CT, right? S&W and Savage are both still in MA, and NY still has Remington & Kimber

I put a fresh coat of paint on the plow, so I'm ready to push snow in style

 

I was going to get mine put on Monday, since I'm taking Monday through Thursday off of next week.
