I don't know how much colder it is but the floor being so cold makes my feet sore after a couple min. I have skinny short haired dogs from the south, I don't like leaving them all day in that

That's the only complaint I have about my Sierra SLE with the 5.3L V8. It's got plenty of power and tows even my big trailer loaded very well, but unloaded it is clunky. Seems to have rough shift points. And then at some strange speeds it feels like it's between gears, either lugging or revving. I am getting used to it a little bit and I wouldn't say it's a big disappointment but it for sure could be better. I hear that getting a tuner chip/ECU reflash or something is a big help, but I won't do that bullshit.

well truck hadn't started in two or three days, it really struggled to turn over today. The time for a new battery is now lol. Recommendations? Preferably an upgrade from stock if possible.

FJ needs a new battery for sure. It was not happy this morning. It's probably about time, from what I can tell the one in there is about an about 6 year old interstate.

    Yeah...

Spent 2 hours on Sunday afternoon getting the tractor started, with the intention of pushing the snowbanks back. Diesel in really cold weather, no block heater, hadn't started it in weeks, bad battery...perfect storm of suck. Finally got it running by using the battery in the tractor, the spare battery out of the '69, my booster pack, and a set of jumpers run from the '84 in order to get enough voltage to get it started
And then once I finally got it running, the very first push I made the right hand tire spit the chain off. So I had to stop and get that put back on (by now it's dark), and you need to use your fingers to adjust the tensioners, so no gloves. Get the chains back on, hop back on the tractor, and make 2 or 3 more pushes before I hear *PING* from the right side wheel. I've got adjustable rear wheels, and it had popped the retaining pin (basically a grade 8 bolt) :frusty: So back to the garage I go, grab a spare pin and the hydraulic jack and lug that down to the lower lot where I've got the tractor. Get the new pin installed and start pushing snow again. No more problems with the lower lot, thank god. Finish up down on the lower lot and move up to the driveway by the house to start shoving banks back up there, and about 5 minutes in it spit the right side tire chain again. At this point it's dark, -8, and the windchill is -24, so I decided that I'd had enough fun for one day and called it quits.

Then yesterday I went and bought a new battery & negative cable and installed them. Fired right up, no problem. Reinstalled the tire chains on the right hand wheel and finished pushing the banks back with zero problems. Sunday just wasn't my day, apparently.
