He works in the other building (NSDC), he sometimes comes to WDC.

Wish they gave me the option about tomorrow. Living in NE, I learned to drive in the snow, and own a vehicle capable of doing so.

Cool, drinking buddy of mine. We hang out with the same crowd at the brewery in Webster most Friday nights.

I almost want to come in for the peace and quiet. Traffic should be nil tomorrow.

Seems to be getting worse as the years pass.

My old boss had the mentality of "If you could work here today, then you need to be working here" otherwise you were taking a vacation day. Only exception was no power, but he could somehow find a way to make the statement that you should be filing papers or cleaning the work equipment - no need for electricity to do that.

It was a civil engineering company as well, not a construction company. 5 years later I am still a little salty about it.

Their IPA #5 is pretty good over there! Wife and I have been a couple times but never seem to make into Webster for a night out alone.

Office is closed tomorrow but we've still got to work, or use a vacation day. Downside to having a laptop/ VPN access

They gave us the whole if you feel safe thing. But if you don't come in you need to work from home or use vacation time. I'll probably work from home and take a few hours of vacation time.

90% percent sure my office will give us the day due to the weather. I am tempted to make the drive to the office then turnaround stating that it'll only get worse as the day goes on; I just want to play in the snow :D:burnrubber::mudding: Glad I'm in engineering that most of my work is hands on, don't go to the office = no work and a day of gaming while the gf works from home:stirthepot:

Conveniently I am down in longboat key FL. To miss the chilly weather up home... sadly the high is 60 down here so I won’t be going for a tan anytime soon

Office doesn't close unless it's a state of emergency... I came in this morning and told my boss ahead of time I might be late for work tomorrow. The rest of the team just informed me that they told him they weren't even coming in.....

Lol our shop is forgiving on being late on days with bad weather especially since a majority start at 6am and a couple guys occasionally start at 5am. My ball buster will be driving to NJ tomorrow after work

I've always been an Xbox kid, I'm slowly working my way through the latest Assassin's Creed currently. I still have a laundry list of games to play in my queue; all these games that you get for paying for XBL Gold makes the list almost impossible to keep up with.

Same. I doubt work all day, or even half a day. It's literally impossible with no dedicated office space and 2 giblets. But that means I'll have to burn vacation time which blows.

I have a literal shit ton of vacation time. I rolled over 180 hours (after I got paid 40 hours I couldn't roll over) and now my balance is back up to 210 with the start of the new year haha.

This is how my place used to be. Now, as soon as someone mentions snow, work is cancelled.

Jealous that you can roll it; I've got to use it up. They make you take the first 5 days as a check, then let you roll over up to a week. Since I'd rather have the time off than the paycheck, I don't roll any over.

I don't since I started here in August. Only 3 weeks vacation which I'd rather use for vacation
