No, he knew it was the same person. I had someone do this when I was selling my wheels. They didn't really speak english well, or just were dumb as hell and couldn't form sentences, take your pick. Either way, kept low balling the shit out of me, and wanting me to drive two hours to deliver them. I told him to fuck himself like 3 or 4 times and go buy them somewhere else, and he kept emailing me, EVERY new email was the same introduction, same "your price is way to high I can get them lower" etc...

The older I get, the more losers I realize are out there.

Morning all.. .. I might have a small whiplash injury..
On the way home from work in Clinton .. I did a double take on a beige colored Taco ... get this... two nuns in full habits..
I had to look again.. yup two nuns.. the Taco was nice and clean..

 

I had found a new queen bed frame above my garage when I bought my house. Had no use for it, so put it up on CL for $20 figuring I'd even take $10 just to not have to deal with getting rid of it.

One guy asked me if I'd take $10 and deliver it to Great Barrington because he had no way to come get it. Quick math says it'd have been more than that just in gas never mind my time and he couldn't seem to understand that.

 

Yeah, I am not surprised by that, I had someone doing that to me on some small item not too long ago also. Told them unless they meet me on my daily trip it is not worth it to me. They actually understood that and I was surprised, but a TON of people don't understand the value of their time. And they lose so much money in their life because of it and they don't even understand the concept. I know someone very close to me who is usually really smart, but will drive an extra 4 miles to Wal-mart instead of their regular store because a 12 pack of soda is a dollar cheaper, and they are only buying (1) 12 pack. It's insane. Unless I am driving by the persons house regularly I will not drive to drop off stuff under like $80. It would be a minimum of a couple gallons of gas and at least an hour and a half of my time. I don't have an exact amount I value myself per hour, but on something where the profit is very small, I'm not very cooperative with buyers.

 

not joking. Ive gotten rid of several cars that way. If your car is worth more than that than sell it yourself on craigslist. if you actually scrap your car youll get about $100 right now... ive scrapped several cars and between time, gas, and the hassle of borrowing someones trailer.... $125-150 cash and they come to me to pick it up sounds much better.

 

That's crazy how cheap. Not doubting, but just crazy.

 

yeah its obnoxious. I scrap my Demo cars each year.

 

Any idea if they give more for aluminum? I have a 2200lb aluminum boat I need to scrap. Total pain in the you know what.

They do give more for aluminum if it’s just that. If it’s “mixed” meaning had steel or tin along with t they won’t. Because hey have to do the work to separate the parts
