Ya understandable. I most likely won’t be trading that soon to make that 60k mark. Really the only reason why I want one is because of the room. Because I work a ridiculous amount of hours I’m often napping in the truck in between shifts and it’s difficult to do in the tacoma. Plus the wife and I have a little one on the way so we would also benefit there. And it kills me that I can get much better gas mileage on my 200 mile per day commute in a full size than I can in the tacoma.

But on the other side, I really do love the tacoma and like that I know I’ll be worry free mechanically for a long time. Tough choice but we will see. Was thinking about looking next year for a gently used 2018 F150

I hardly venture in there. Only do when I repeatedly see the same thread on the main page.

ya its like a bad bar, some times your drunk and stumble in not realizing it. Other days, you just need a drink and place to talk shit. But most sober moments you wouldn't think about touching the door.

I've made the access cab work with 2 kids for 8 years. But the gf has a kid also. I also nap in my truck sometimes, not the most comfortable. I'm thinking my trade will most likely be a 4Runner. Just not interested in car payments at the moment though.

I am through and through Tacoma fan boy. Started with a 1995 Regular cab, had a weird Jetta phase and then into a 2010 then the 2015. All and all I put about 300k miles between the three trucks. Not once was there really a hiccup. Only issue is the frame recall claimed the 95. The other two were fairly worry free especially when compared to other trucks and vehicles.
I had to make the call cause I wasn’t successful in teaching the wife how to drive manual, we are a one vehicle family, and we just had our first born. The car seat was tough in the Tacoma so even going to a 3rd gen we’d have the same size issue. I’d like the full size but she was a little to nervous driving the f150. So we decided on the 4Runner. I’m happy and she’s happy and the little kiddo loves riding in it. I do miss having the truck to haul stuff, I have a trailer if needed but it does take away from the convience of just being able to toss something in the back. But I like how the 4Runner feels truck like and I’m averaging 19-20mpg with it.
It is sad how a f150 can acatually get better mileage while being capable. And on the highway nothing beats how those trucks ride. If you can hold out and wait for the diesel to hit the dealer lots you should be able to have lots of used options that guys traded in for the new diesel

I’d like to have a full size, but for the daily commute it wasn’t justifiable. I do encounter situations though where a 3/4 Ton would be required. But thankfully my family business has a f350 that I just need to ask the uncle if I can borrow so I usually work my project around when I can use it.

By all means it’s definitely doable with kids and stuff. Just more a comfort/convenience factor. I love the 4Runner I just don’t think I’d be happy in an SUV but idk I’ve never owned one.

Ya I’ll most likely wait for a while. In a few months I’ll be switching show up locations for work anyways so hopefully I won’t have such a long Commute

My mother sent this to me:

Hunter was 4 years old and was staying with his grandfather for a few days.
He'd been playing outside with the other kids, when he came into the house and asked,
"Grandpa, what's that called when two people sleep in the same bedroom and one is on top of the other?"
His Grandpa was a little taken aback, but he decided to tell him the truth.
"Well, Hunter, ah, it's called sexual intercourse."
"Oh," Little Hunter said, "OK," and went back outside to play with the other kids.
A few minutes later he came back in and said angrily…
Grandpa, it isn't called 'sexual intercourse'. It's called 'bunk beds'. And Jimmy’s mom wants to talk to you."

Yeah, not the usual Pitts style, which is usually a gun fight. Was nice that they mixed it up old school. I like that. New trend here in the wild west.

I love driving a full size. The F150 was easy to drive. The 250 has a shitty turning radius and a longer wheelbase so it’s a bit trickier but, plan ahead a little bit and it’s not bad at all. I like how the heavier trucks hold the road in high winds.

I definitely have no use for a full size, but damn does this V6 sound like shit in comparison

Good morning everyone. I woke up a bit early this morning because I could hear my son's tablet. Today is his 9th birthday and he is just so excited I guess he can't sleep. He woke up at 5:30. Lol. He's such a great kid!

Well it isn't raining or snowing so I'm happy. Have a perc test this morning and hoping that all the run off/rain doesn't mess with it. We are percing near some streams and wet areas so space is already limited. Can always build up the leach field a little I guess!
