Did you get the TSB for the diff howl? It fixed it on mine at least, I've heard some say that it didn't work as well as they hoped. For me it made a world of difference since it seemed like I am always driving at the speeds it happens.

Edit: Saw your other post about the TSB not covering '18s. I couldn't remember what your Taco was for certain

I thought it made sense for the front tires to be inflated more, since theyre always carrying the weight of the engine? Unless the thinking is that if youre driving a HD truck then you probably have more weight in the bed?

That's why. 2400lbs of payload potential vs 500lbs or so of engine. When I put a plow on this winter I may need to bump the PSI a bit up front, since an 8.5 Fisher V runs around 950lbs.

Ahhh makes sense. 30 psi difference seems like a lot though. have you gotten a V plow yet?

No, not yet. I'm waiting to see if a good deal pops up on Craigslist over the summer, but really I'd rather buy a new one for the warranty coverage. If I go that route I'll end up picking one up in the crate and assembling it myself rather than paying the dealer to do it.

Yeah, assembling one is pretty straightforward. Basically it's just installing the center pin for the two blades, putting the pins through the holes for the rams & pivot points, connecting hydraulic hoses, and filling it up with fluid. I helped the GF's dad do his when he upgraded to an XV2 a couple of years ago and it took the two of us about 2 hours, including mixing up the hydraulic hoses for the rams and having to take them off and start over

To be honest it was a really bumpy ride home and through the county so it could have fallen out on the ride. Hopefully you find it in your garage though.

You have the same axle code as me so it should be 3.73.

Price point and mpg are big to me. I used to get 18-19 in my tacoma but I’ve been seeing 16.5 according to Fuelly

The electronic stuff is the problem people are running into with the C5s now. The body control modules for the earlier cars are out of production so when they fail a used one is your only option which has driven up the price on the second hand market to over $1,000. You can run the car without it but you lose ABS and TCS.

The problem isn’t with the software but the hardware. It’s no longer in production and was proprietary to begin with so there aren’t any options.

The same issue creeps up with the steering wheel position sensor and that can effectively make the car undeliverable depending on the specifics of the car.

Luckily with trucks there are simply so many it’s a much wider pool of parts.

I also like to believe Toyota puts out a tad better hardware than chevy. Time will tell but I really hope yotas don’t start having those problems

What do you guys think 5 new 285 70 17 KO2 could sell for? I haven't decided for sure yet but thinking about selling the original 33's ti help soften the expense of new tires

I'd be interested except I'm running 265/65/17 and I think that size will give me rubbing on the stock suspension.

Morning, woke up to the wife yelling and banging on the window last night. I went running but it was only a raccoon trying to get in the trash. Popped him with the pellet gun after 15 minutes of listening to him trying to get in.
