IMO you NEED to go. While we are younger it is sorta "cool" to skip these things, or if not cool, there is always something "better" to do. BUT I don't think this is true, I think there is nothing more fun than re-engaging all the people you grew up with and learning how they have been and what path they took. You might not even like any of them, it is still interesting to know and nice to see people.

That's not why I think you should really go though, the reason I think you should is that as I have seen my father age and face mortality, I've noticed he cares a lot more about stuff like that then he used to, and is now going to his college reunion for the first time ever and I think went to his H.S. one last year or two. So I think it is something we all will regret skipping, and with it so close to you just do it! If it sucks, you are home in 10 minutes and who cares?

Maybe I am over thinking it, but I believe they are worth going to, and I am going to try to make my future ones. There are some real good people I haven't seen since H.S. and I think it'd be nice to recconect, if just for the day.

Had my 10 year last year. Didn’t go because I didnt even know about it. Apparently all the information was through Facebook which I don’t have.

Not upset about it though. I don’t really talk to anyone from high school anyways

Generally, I would agree with your whole heartedly and I'm one of the people who hasn't attended a reunion since I graduated. I don't really have fond memories of high school so, when I graduated, I moved on and never even thought about looking back. There are a small handful of people I would really like to see again so I will eventually attend a reunion to catch up but, generally, I have no interest in seeing a lot of the people I went to school with.

As far as college, I'd love to go but it's a long haul from here. I will make a good effort to attend one of those in the near future (although I'm 13 years out at this point...)
I know the feeling... When I started, I was that guy who would have made you feel old, I was born in '83. We now have interns born in 2000...

That's not a normal 9mm. The lip is wrong. Looks almost like a rat shot cartridge, for pest control.

    Edit-
It's a blank. That green shit is what they stuff inside to cartridge to keep the powder in place.

Of course, that raises the question of why somebody was running around your yard shooting blanks... :notsure:

I know I worked on my graduation day. Probably whatever day prom was too since I think they're always weekends and at the time I'd work pretty much all day on both Saturday and Sunday.

I had my 10 year this year but didn't go. Didn't go to my 5 year, either. I stay in touch with the guys I was good friends with and email with a couple of the teachers I had. So right now don't see the reason to go to the reunion. I went to a private high school and they treat the reunions as fundraising events, which annoys me. I already get 2 to 3 pieces of mail from them a month asking for money.

Of course, as I keep reading, looks like I'm late to the party

That's what I get for not reading through the entire thread first :notsure:

    Damn, Bill.
I just stole this off my mom's FB page; I think it was around '92 as well, since I'd have been about 8

I'd be interested to hear about what they end up showing up in!

That's how it is for me, I grew facial hair, grew more muscle, put on some fat, and my voice got deeper. Its hilarious when people see me and triple take with a head tilt trying to figure out if it is me or not

We're working on putting together a 15 year reunion this year. The class officers didn't feel like putting in the effort for a 10 year, and the response they got was fairly lukewarm anyway.
It'll be odd; I'm 'friends' with pretty much my entire class on FB, but I don't really follow what any of them are doing, and most of them at this point still look pretty much the same except for some extra wrinkles (or in a lot of cases about 30 extra pounds  )
