By my calculations, I will have my student loans paid off by Oct/Nov this year :dancingbacon:. I came out with probably around 50k in loans which isn't bad compared to some people I know. I was making interest payment though while I was still in school with whatever leftover money I had from summer internships and part time jobs during the school year. Lived at home with my parents for the first 3 years after college and severely overpaid my monthly payments. Now my wife and I will have owned our house for 3 years coming up in a few months and I will have my student loans paid off ~5 years early.

Jesus. I was skinny at 125 and I'm only 5'7. You must have disappeared when you turned sideways...

Yeah you will always see some people that peaked in high school but I try not to be judgmental like they were. I worked my ass off in hs, I had no time for sports. I did the same when i went to college and when i got my first career job. Everyone makes choices and mine was to work hard and try to create something from nothing

Yes I was grotesquely skinny in school. You could count my ribs as I just stood there. I was going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week and taking everything I could to gain weight. The gym couldn't even do my fitness evaluation because they couldn't measure my body fat (gauges only went down to 3%). I got discouraged and quite after 6 - 8 months after the person that did it said she could see a big improvement in my gains. I hadn't gained any weight!

I was 6'2 and 270lbs my senior year of high school, and now I'm 6'3 and 280-ish lbs 7 years later.

    I've always been big.

    That's awesome!

I know some people who have 100k+ in loans and are making the minimum payments, openly stating that they have no intentions of paying them off and want them forgiven. I have no respect for people like that.

    Wow!

I'm about 5'9" and am usually around 135-140. I've dropped to 128 or so once when I had food poisoning and I looked very unhealthy at that weight. I couldn't imagine being around 125 at 3" taller.

See what I'm learning here is that if you start fat, you'll just stay fat. If you start skinny, you'll end up fat. Everyone ends up fat! Woo!

This is 'Murica, after all isn't it?

I've stayed 5'10" since high school and am actually currently at the same 160 lbs haha. I had put on weight after college but lost those 25lbs in the last year and a half. Muscle mass compared to high school me though has gone up and fat gone down.

Nice! I've stayed the same weight but lost muscle mass. In high school and college I was in the gym daily, now I just can't find the time. I'm hoping to change that though!

Not necessarily. I weigh more than I did in high school, but the majority of it is muscle mass. I don't have washboard abs any more, but I'm no roly-poly
