Also, I went to my prom and it wasn’t very great. My best friend and I ate both tables worth of desserts while everyone was on the dance floor just to be assholes. No one appreciated it but it was our way of making it fun. Our dates on the other hand did not find it amusing

Morning everyone. Happy Friday. It's been a shit show here lately. Office was closed yesterday because they lost power after 5pm the day before. I wasn't able to get onto the server remotely since, so got a hold of the IT guy yesterday morning, walked me through some steps and I got on. Then I got off and couldn't get back on. He couldn't figure out why. Gave up trying at around 11am. Went to my house to turn on the generator for a couple hours because of the fridges. Luckily my internet works whenever I have power. Somehow magically I was able to get onto the work server, and did some work.

As of last night, work still didn't have power, so supposed to get an update by 7am today.

It's been a crazy week to say the least.

 

Morning all. I got the stomach bug the kids both had over the last week.

 

Mowing the lawn today before the rain....and waiting for my new Tohatsu to be dropped off down in town. What stinks is that delivery is expected between 10am-6pm and I only have about two hours of work to do....so I better bring my kindle. Either way I am excited to break in the motor and get the boat finished.

Anyone have any input on running the motor in a big garbage can or something? I have seen videos of people doing that to get the initial break in period over. Besides making sure there is space for the prop and the right amount of water in the bucket/trash can...is there anything else I should be weary of? Or should I just bring it down to the pond and hang it off a dock and just run that sucker?

That sucks! There is nothing like a kids stomach bug. I caught one about 6 months ago from my niece and probably hadn't been that sick since I was 6 years old!!

Just got the email saying still no power, work from home.

 

Are your customers going crazy at you? At least your work can't blame you for this.

 

I only deal with internal people, and the factories we purchase from... those are unaffected, so no complaints about that. Only complaints I get is because a few of mine are shitty and late on orders a lot lately.

 

I would hope people are understanding, too. It's not like your company chose for a natural disaster to happen haha.

 

LOL. In the "industry" we are in, I doubt people will "care"...

And, to add to the shitty week, I have to cover for my co-worker today and Monday. But all good since he covered for me on Wednesday when I took the day off to clean up the trees that fell, and covered for part of the day yesterday when I couldn't get online.

 

Last day home with the nugget, going to miss this. Had a busy but great week. She didn't cry for dad like she does for mom so it's been pretty easy lol
