    Mine don't, but I trimmed them to fit flush in the pocket and have 1/4" gap between the bottom of the upright and the top of the bed rail. I also don't leave them in there all the time; just when we're going kayaking/canoeing and feel like taking the '69.

    Yeah... I'm the drop off AND the pickup.

    I was also the drop off since my son's first day of daycare. It's tough. Not gonna lie. Even now some days are tough. But it'll be OK.
