New England B.S. Thread

My dad always worked 2nd and 3rd shift, I never saw him and there always has been a part of me that has been angry with him for that, even though I know he was doing what he had to do to feed us and what not. Its such a big deal, I work in a school making crap money, but am able coach my son, go to my daughters games and both their school functions.

 

Day off today, baby has a fever/cold.

 

My dad has a flowmaster super44 on his v6 dclb and got a sticker in May

Offset by high taxes and emission (BS) testing.

 

Taxachusetts has safety and emissions testing, with cameras, lots of cameras

 

yep. 1 hand held camera for the tech to take pictures of the plates, odometer, and anything that fails inspection. Then 1 web cam on the computer that takes a picture of the tech so they know which tech did the inspection. (even though they scan their inspectors license before the inspection begins) Then there's 3 video cameras that watch the tech do the entire inspection. No cutting corners on inspections anymore!

 

I want to know who is monitoring all of this and who is paying for it?

 

Ya I had to go rip my tint off. Two different places said no

I miss having dark tint. On my f150 I had 5% but night driving sucked

Nice. Went to a place in westfield and southwick and they both turned me away for the tint

I had the place up the street do my tint and it was just under being legal, the station across the street broke my balls till I said (pointing) I had it done right there. They tend to help each other when it is local guys

 

Plus fuck it, I will just pull the doors and go back.

I think they hired like 7 to 10 people and it was included in the bid price for inspections that this company got. Even though it is the same company that screwed up inspections with the sniffers...

Where in Westfield did you go?

 

I went to the place next to the whip on the hill and to valvoline in southwick

 

One of the guys is at the registry with a screen that they can monitor multiple shops. He was showing my uncle one of the stickers they did because a customer was trying to go after them for something that broke weeks later.

 

I don't think I'm going to tint the front windows of the F-150. Tacoma was supposedly the legal limit, but I suspect it was a little darker. Don't want to deal with someone questioning it.

 

I get that tint looks cool but it seems like the biggest hassle in the world to have, from getting pulled over more often and getting hassled to failing inspection, etc.

But it does look cool.

 

I’ve had legal tint on every vehicle i’ve ever owned (and one slightly illegal). Never been pulled over or hassled at sticker time because of it. As long as you don’t overdo it or make it obviously illegal, I don’t see the issue. It does help keep the cabin cooler also.

 

Ya I never really did it For looks but for keeping the sun tamed and the cab cooler
