Install is probably happening tomorrow morning.

 

Make sure they'll cover a tow on a nonregistered/nonoperational vehicle. Most towing policies do not and are meant for roadside assistance of a drivable vehicle.

 

They covered my wrecked T4R to and from the body shop, when it never got fixed. It was still registered and insured though

 

I know they wouldn't cover towing my unregistered Falcon when I bought it.

 

AAA requires it to be registered. Not an issue if it operates or not though.

 

My house is too open for those downstairs. My family room is quite large and has a cathedral ceiling, so I'd need one of those huge freestanding units.

The bedrooms are fine, but the rest of the house turns into a bleeping sauna.

 

Addressed an awful clanging noise in my front end today with @Blais03 and @tacobell007 . Somehow the caliper bolts were a little lose causing it to bang around. Cheapest repair ever Acquired a new Daytona 3 ton extended reach lowpro jack from HF, and shout out to @tacobell007 for hooking me up with a new patch for the collection! Happy Friday everyone!

 

Gotcha..my weight room and bathroom have half-cathedral, but those can be closed off. Each one has its own unit as well.

 

I have it because my way de drives 50mi each way to work. Make sure you get AAA Plus.

Im thinking the Plus plan seems like the right ticket; more towing distance, discounts etc., especially once the Landy's up and running and I'm wheelin it around NE (read: things will break)

@vssman good call on the registration, hadn't taken that part into account. The towing company is local so I'll check with them again about that so there's no snafu's

 

Home sweet home!

Left OBX at 6am. Hit traffic getting on the Chessapeake Bay Bridge, then traffic getting on 295, then traffic crossing the GW Bridge. All in all probability "lost" an hour with that. Plus made a gas/bathroom stop about half way into the trip which "cost" me about 20 minutes. Got into Danbury at about 3:15 or so. Went to my parents house because they were watching my dog, and ate dinner there. Finally got to my house at around 7. Unpacked the truck, cleaned it up just a bit (going to vacuum the inside tomorrow because of the sand and crumbs), let the kids play outside for a bit, then came inside and started to put stuff away while they snacked. Now giving them a bath. And I still want to check my work emails so I don't waste time doing it tomorrow.

 

Got home tonight and found a screw in one of my tires. Going to see in the morning if there is a leak and then figure out if I can get a patch for it or need a replacement

 

That should be patchable .not too close to the sidewall.


Got the bumper installed this morning.

Brought back an extra passenger from the trip.

Oldest fell in love with him at the store because two of his cousins got one while we were there. My son was a really good kid all week long, so figured I'd spoil him, and let him get the little guy.

He won't leave him alone. All he wants to do is keep checking on him, and take him out of the "cage". He named him "Twirly" because of his shell. LOL
