All of this booze talk makes me want to skip splitting firewood this evening.

Put on a pair of rubber gloves and put him back in the nest. I've done it in the past and the parents have always taken them back.

 

I mean he's old enough to be out of nest. I just hate seeing them on pavement in this heat

 

Try just sticking him on a nearby low-hanging branch, then. If he grabs onto it he's young enough to be out of the nest, and the parents will find him in no time when they swoop back in with some food.

Good now. Mom came to him and he's bouncing around. I don't like messing with nature, but little man was on a cat frying pan in this neighborhood. At least now he has shade and grass

Well, was just catching up on the “what have you done to your 2nd Gen” thread and noticed that he posted about removing his cap but could not post a photo. So......... guess he’s ok aaaaand something is happening with the cap. Close?
