Surface supplied with a neck dam. Just crap luck. And I didn't know the risks.

I could deal with the pain. The jokes that went along with it are what really stung

Finally got my RESZ Fab upper links and panhard installed. Broke down and had a local shop I use when I'm too lazy to do a task install them. Had an eye appt this morning right down the street so killed 2 birds with 1 Stone. No more clunking rear axle or feeling the rear end shift during cornering. All around much more solid/ planted. Even with the poly bushings harshness is noticably less than with the factory links/ panhard pushing 200k.

Random question for you guys--- has anyone driven across the Canadian border recently? And done so with a pocket knife?

The wife and I are headed up to Kejimkujik in Nova Scotia in a couple weeks to do some backcountry camping. But I just read that you can bring any centrifugal knife... or basicly any knife for that matter except for a leatherman... Were going backcountry camping so I obviously want to have something to cut things with and I kinda despise using the blade on my mini leatherman... wondering if anyone has any recent experience. I daily cary a Benchmade Mini- Barage which is small...but assisted... so I guess thats out of the question for bringing over.

Wondering if I should just go to REI and buy a cheap knife to use just for that trip and if it gets confiscated... play dumb and say oh well.

Either that or maybe find a sporting store on the other side and pick one up over there if it's not too much money?

Or just bring a regular old Victorinox swiss army knife. The basic models are all of what, $20? They arrive sharp, hold an edge well and they're perfectly Canada-legal. Just because you need two hands to open them isn't (or shouldn't be) a deal-breaker.
Beats the hell out of crossing your fingers and losing a good knife because it's assisted open.

Yea thats probably the best bet. Were spending the first night in St. John before catching the ferry out to Nova Scotia. Just checked on Princess Autos web site and they have some cheap $10-20 folders that would do the job fine... also planning on grabbing at least one more Scepter gas can while there....

You can take a leatherman it seems... I just dont like using it, bulky and annoying to clean and what not. They are very useful... but not ideal.

Axes and Saws seem fine as well... Seems like they recently cracked down on pocket knives for some reason...

Yea definitely don't want to loose my Benchmade. Its old, somehow I have managed to carry it for nearly 10 years!...

I think Im just gonna go with @m603holden advice and just buy a cheap on there.

You'd be safe with this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004YVB...8017-82ca8663fdd1&ie=UTF8&qid=1532449630&sr=2

I have a couple that live in my hiking & camping gear, of this model. I've also carried them into Canada regularly in the past with zero issues (it's usually more of a hassle at the US side on my way back in), but not in the last six months or so.

Edit- I know that they're legal up there in Maple Syrup country, too, because I've seen them for sale at Canadian Tire stores.

Wife and I went camping in Canada not too long ago and did not make any special arrangements regarding equipment. My axe and knives were tucked away and not plainly visible, we both had no records or legal issues, and just answered their quick questions and moved right along. If you are dodgy eyed and avoiding direct answers to questions, you will probably get searched.

We said we were heading north for some outdoor time and camping which apparently was good enough pass right through.

+10 hp, +37mph top speed for red aftermarket links/ panhard. Ignore the dirt, I haven't washed since going to the RI spot like a month ago.
