It was about 87 where I was today and I had 18 yards of wet compost to shovel into a top dresser to start building up my yard. After 4 yards shoveled I decided to start reaching out to people I knew with tractors  Grabbed a dingo from my brother and that made it MUCH easier. Even using that and riding around in my Ranger pulling the top dresser it was still pretty hot. If I had to shovel all the compost I would have probably had a heat stroke.:bananadead:

I once rode a plane next to a kid from my college I hadn't seen in years and he was going through that stage of training. He made it very clear it isn't anything close to "sexy" or attractive.

Yeah, after using a tractor I'll never move topsoil/loam/gravel by hand again if I can avoid it. Even a small tractor like mine makes it go SO much faster, and is considerably easier on my back.

Yeah I only did the 3 yards or so, and my lower back hurts now that I've stopped moving around. My neighbor told me "it's all about the equipment" when we were talking about a job the other day, and this proved it. I need some sort of tractor in the near future, and I think your right a small one would make a big difference, probably do everything I would ever need and not cost a million dollars.

Quick question for the tire gurus would you go C rated or would you go E rated

Obviously E rated is better for the woods but I don't spend all my time in the woods

C is fine. I ran C load range in a 33x12.5x17 on my Grabber AT2s and with rotations were at 40-45k miles with exactly 50% tread left. They did fine in the woods with no sidewall punctures and minimal chunking

I'm still new to sizing tires for trucks but I just put on E rated tires and I didn't notice a drastic difference even coming from Passenger(?) rated stock tires. Just my $.02

Thanks. Lisa actually likes the ride of this Jeep, so I would like to keep the road characteristics the same

A lot of people will tell you C rated. I am a HUGE proponent of the E rating. I just don't worry. It's not about woods, I've never popped a tire in the woods. I've popped a shit ton of tires in cities, at construction sites etc...I also like the stiffer ride on corners.

E range typically heavier with a 10 ply sidewall which is gonna be stiff on a 2 door Jeep

You seem pretty active in the Jeep community. I'd try to drive someones with both options and see what you like if possible.

Billy, sidewalls aren't 10 plys. The 10 plys used stand for the carcass of the entire tire under the tread. Nowadays 10 plys are just a rating, no tire is actually 10 plys anymore more like 6 to 8. Also most truck tires are going to be a 2 or 3 ply sidewall. If you are thinking about the BFG KO2's the C rated tire is only a 2 ply but the E load has a 3 ply sidewall

For the weight of that Jeep, I'd stick with C. I know E is popular for off roading but is overkill in my opinion.

Was the picture of tires stacked up yours? Seems late to be asking for opinions, haha.

It is my pile but he screwed up and got me E rated instead of the C rated that I asked for. He said he would get the C's if I wanted them.

Billy, stick to the E loads the C load KO2's have a very soft sidewall. I have the C loads and they are fine for daily driving but i wouldn't want to wheel with them

    FYI
Sunday is the Putnam Car Cruise.
    They're expecting 2000 cars.
Official start is 10A with burnouts starting at 11A. The Kids may Like it! Ends at 3P.
The old timers usually start driving in @ 7A and it fills in from there.
