What did you end up getting? Their selection changes daily. Very good, but very sweet.

Dartmouth is supposed to be a decent spot.
I do a bit of work in New Bedford(next town over) and there is a LOT of H there. But, the same can be said for about anywhere now.

I can reach out this week and ask if you want?

@vssman , I grew up in that general area. Westport/Dartmouth. Very decent area. New Bedford, not so much. However, anything she may need is 5-10 minutes away. North Dartmouth Mall is just around the corner. Restaurants, stores, medical, etc is all near by. I’d recommend it.

    What's H?

    N. Dartmouth is better than New Bedford, though I don't remember it being too bad either.

@vssman I'd feel a lot safer walking around UMASS Dartmouth at 1 am than UCONN Hartford at any time of day lol

Two friends went there, one of which works there now.

Ugly buildings, but as far as I know the area is fine.

Thanks guys. We've been out visiting various colleges and that one is on the list. She's looking at Marine Biology, Marine Science, or similar major.

I agree, good path to head down.
Tell her to try to learn, get certified in SCUBA, it will help.

    EVERYWHERE...
    Scrip for pills...
    Pills get you hooked..
    Pills cost too much...
    Heroin is $10...
You are now a Heroin addict...

This is the game plan of SOOO many people now. I am so glad that I threw up when I got pain killers for my wisdom teeth removal...and I'm such a control freak I would never touch anything I knew could hook me...As they say, everyone in Mass knows someone..and if they don't, they just don't know YET...

As of two years ago when I graduated they didn’t have marine biology but they do have some of the most respected sonar engineers in the northeast that travel worldwide to listen and study whales DR.John Buck was my signals professor. Their bioengineering still isn’t accredited either i think.

    Good school.
Also check out the UMASS “flagship” campus at Amherst. It’s awesome.

Your a Mass resident? I can't cheer you on more for selecting a state school. I work at a lab...we hire science degrees all the time. Unless someone is going for a cream of the crop absolute specialty position...SOOO many people waste their time/money on a big name school. So much debt and so little extra benefit over a state school. The degree proves you are teachable and can learn to work...For 98% of all employment nobody is saying "Umass Dartmouth...not Haaaaavard????" Nobody thinks that anymore except maybe in finance or the top 1% medical schools...
