Anybody up for trading (or interested) in a set of 2nd gen TRD sport wheels? Ok shape, clear coat blew off and I black plastic dipped them.
Getting ready to put my winter set from the last truck on the 4Runner and has discovered the backspacing is different (taco wheels are positioned closer in then the runner)
Looking for a set of 17” roughly 4.5” backspace (in case someone is trading in their ride and needs stock wheels)

I'll try to give the short version.

I worked welding steam pipe and maintaining systems. Got called in to the office. Conversation was prefixed by letting us know we were facing almsot certain suspension and possible termination.

A girl had reported that on xyz street she saw workers under the road grate looking up her skirt saying obscene things to her as she walked into a building. Saw our faces. I called bullshit.

There had been issues this year already with dirty old man laborers they hired and they were setting us up for the last straw whipping boys. We were removed from the room without interviewing our account.

Got on the phone with the college PM who I have a good relationship with. Asked what was up. They said they had us on that street and a the woman complained about harrasment at the library from underground workers.

I turned around, kicked in the door with a bunch of HR, PMs and the EO in there and told them to never waste my time with bullshit like this again and I'll be on site if they need me.

Rufused to answer the 100 calls as I made my way on site. Already pulled the manhole cover I was working in. Set up ventilation . Grabbed a few spare harnesses.

Bosses came arms swinging. Grabbed an hr guy and the college PM. He knew where I was going with this. Walked an 1/8th mile down the tunel. Hit a barrier where man can't pass unless the pipes are broken down. We were doing a valve change a few hundred feet before that. Popped our head out the closest manhole cover.....1/4 mile away from the library. We were on that street. No where near the library though

Basically I had to prop my buddy up to change a gasket for a huge valve and as I propper him up I said something along the lines of "oh yeah , you stay right there . Love your rest meat in my face" ...because we work underground non stop and you get a little hole crazy.

Sound traveled. All the way down the tunnel, up the grate and into the girls ears. 1/4 mile away.

Bottom line was she lied about seeing our faces. She was so stuck up she thought someone who she couldn't even see was talking about her. And without consideration to anyone else, she fabricated a lie and almost had two men Lose their careers. Best part was that when they questioned her again she doubled down over and over again that she saw people down there ( you can't get into that hole ).

My work left me alone for a good bit after that.

Heading to bed after finishing making my crazy mac & cheese for a workplace potluck lunch tomorrow. It has seven Cheeses, pancetta bacon, andouille sausage, 3 pounds of pasta and peppers from my garden..,,
I made one without any cheese for the lactose people one with out any meat for the vegetarian people the giant one is the real deal everything altogether. The little bowl the top is the leftovers for my kid for tomorrow. You can't tell from looking at the big one is packed full of meat and peppers. I put the last layer of pasta on the top just to seal it.

2018 F-250 according to Fuelly averages 10-14 it looks like depending on how people are driving them. That's for a gasser with the crew cab. A diesel gets a mpg or two more, but also sets you back another 8k at purchase. Not sure what their official numbers are though.

Anyways, I don't think the gasser would be much worse than your taco on gas, plus the tank would be 36 gallons so you would probably fill up a lot less, delaying some of the pump pain. And while the cost would be more to fill the big tank, mentally, doing it once every two weeks instead of twice a week makes a difference, at least to me.

I've found that Fuelly is very misleading for HD trucks because a lot of people have them loaded down all the time. I'm getting 15-16 in and out of Boston for my commute. I can do better unloaded with no traffic. Fuelly doesn't distinguish between loaded and unloaded. Everyone told me to brace for 10-12 mpg so I'm happy to be getting what I am.

I was a little surprised how low some of them were coming back, that makes a lot of sense. Getting 15-16 around boston is real good imo. I'll be taking my taco there on monday for a funeral, see how I do.
