I don't mind it on those days. Wouldn't miss it the rest of the year.

 

I would. I very much enjoy the warmer weather during spring, summer & fall, but if it's going to be winter I want a ton of snow. Winter's the worst when it's just cold and brown, or cold and rainy and then cold & brown.

 

House heats better, it's certainly nicer to look at, and you actually want to go outside and do things instead of just hibernating. Winters when it's just cold and brown you can't ski, snowshoe, snowmobile, etc so you just get bored and depressed.

 

There is always ice somewhere


But it is a lot easier to get out there when I can use

O yeah. It's just for the stragglers after blowing/raking onto a tarp and dragging them to the woods. I have a 12x12 tarp that I fill about 8 to 10x clearing the yard of leaves...I don't let them build up because when we bought our house the previous owner had already moved out and did no leaf removal so we had 2 feet of leaves around the house (I have 1/2 acre surrounded by deciduous trees) and I never want that again!

 

Well, when there's no ice on the lake, obviously.
