I just finished my daughters exhaust. Would have been quicker but stupid Chevy used metric hardware for the pipe to cat flange. I brought home some 5/16 and 3/8 hardware not expecting metric so had to use the cheap Lowes stuff

Does he drive like an ass? Supposedly the manual is worse on gas than the auto on the 2nd gens from what people have said on here.

Yea he gets on the gas a lot. But apparently he's been taking it easy. I'm happy with my MPG. I got a little angry the past few nights (felt sick) and wanted to get home I got 16 mpg OMFG. 6k shifts, launches, rev matching sorry truck

Think I am heading to Loon on the 19th but would try and do a beer tasting in a couple weeks if that happens

Lights look awesome. How much light does it throw off? I like the idea of a light bar behind the lower grill

Rev matching is good for the trans, unless not executed properly:confused:

Rev matching is fine unless you over rev and let it out. I don't know if my rev matching is the normal way. It's more of a double clutch rev match down shift. So I clutch go into neutral rev, clutch the select gear

Should be fine as long as you don't over-rev like you said, or lug it which also puts a bunch of stress on the trans. The way you rev-match is how my dad taught me to start rev-matching when I started auto-crossing as a kid. Took a few years for me to be able to nail it all in one fluid step in all gears/speeds/ braking conditions.

I can't rev match second ever lol. It's a matter of switching my feet getting close to a car or where I have to stop. There are many ways to drive stick but rev matching is one the tacoma can handle. I tried flat footing and heal toeing but that's not too fun in a truck.
