My rear sonar alarm things just went. I’ve been so reliant I backed into our snowmobile. Luckily only minor ding. So I 100% hear you on simple might be better.

One of mine has acted up twice after heavy rain. It goes red immediately even with nothing nearby. I can blast the thing with a pressure washer and can't duplicate it, though. The part is like $12, I'm tempted to just order one and swap it since I'd spend that much in gas going back and forth to any dealer anyway. Hasn't done it in a while, though, so I sort of forgot about it.

my whole system seems to be out, I have seen replacement ones like you mentioned, but I'm not sure if replacing one or two would fix it, or the whole thing is gone.

I need to take a closer look at it.

They cared way more about my rear tire swingout than the aftermarket ecu or turbo.

Hopefully he means it was just a point of interest and they were drooling rather than hassling.

Nice. I just picked up a commercial cap and rack up I-91 from here.

What are you planning on doing with it as you convert it? I want to insulate the top of mine and add a vent. I'm 6'4" and it's an 04 DC so there's not a lot of room to sleep, so some kind of tent and tailgate extension might be the solution.

What I'm not sure about is the tool boxes, and whether I want to cut out one or both. Once might be nice to keep as a permanent kitchen setup. If I ever got back into fly fishing, it might be nice to have one dedicated to that, too.

By that asshat logic, adding a cap does the same thing. Glad you screwed out before he rejected you. Sounds like he was a very ignorant tech to even say something like that.

im 6'4 as well. the 6' bed doesnt seem to bad to sleep in at all though but well see. i plan to insulate it (probably just the roof) and ill get a sleeping platform set up so i can put surfboards and skis under it without everything being wet. my tool box is welded in so it looks like thats staying for now. My main concern right now is the mysterious white and greenish powders in the tool box and other places...... who knows how to realllllly clean this thing out?? i think i might pressure wash it as the local car wash. what would be a good soap to use to get it clean clean though. just a kitchen cleaner? im a 16 year old boy, i dont have much experience cleaning:D:help:

Steam cleaner. If you have unknown chemicals in the cap, the last thing you want to do is add more cheimicals, especially since cleaning agents tend to be harmful on their own, let alone when mixed with the poisonous chemicals in pesticides. Use LOTS of water first, then go with something like simple green for the final clean inside the box. Regular auto soap on the outside.
