@Bruce988jl I dropped my wife off this Saturday at Logan and wasn't paying attention. Instead of using the inside bus Lane I was one of the outside lanes in term B departures and smoked the concrete beam at the Apex of the turn with my cargo box and totally shattered the lid. Good times....

Lift your truck they said, put shit on the roof they said, it'll be cool they said...

Not an option it's so mangled - since I'm having the rear main seal fixed it's only an additional 20 minutes to swap out the oil pan. 700$ in labor and 300$ in parts, all Acura since it's being done under the table by my buddy who's an Acura tech. Out of curiosity I spoke with the service writer and they quoted me 2g's to do the job without parts included...

Ugh that sucks... I try to avoid Logan with the truck at all costs - I know for sure I won't fit in certain parts of the terminal drop off areas...

Well it looks like they tried to tap it or something because the drain plug was coming out at an angle, so the hole drilled into it is at an angle. Realistically to properly drill and tap it they would have had to remove the downpipe to get a straight shot at the oil pan for a straight on hole. I'd rather just spend the money and drop a new pan in than to try to bandaid it especially since that whole area is coming apart to replace the rear main seal.

I think I spent $1300 in flight/hotel/car/food when I just went to Oregon for 3.5 days.

Id say it was worth it. Liked the area. Next time ill be in my truck though. I got to see the beach, mountains, country, and city in the time I was there. Still deciding if I want to live there. Also need/want to see it in Summer

Traveling is expensive when not camping. I cant imagine how much id spend if I paid for stuff when I go to NYC. And they have 9.5% sales tax. Ouch! Im lucky I have family there, 2 houses. Actually the tolls to get there are about $25

Like I said before - spent 2-3 months in Oregon two years ago and saw all the major seasons. Absolutely loved it - hated Portland though.... I was out in Hood River. Went hiking before work, worked then went down to the river to chill after work. Everyone is super active out there and the fact that you can go from snowboarding to hanging on the beach paddle boarding in one day is awesome.

My only issue is that they're always on fire... haha

Haven't had the best of luck with Fumoto valves in the past. Had one leak from the factory, brand new just installed. Swapped out with a replacement and then one winter later it started leaking again, however it was pretty corroded from the winter (even with a splash guard on - like those do much anyways).

This was back in 2006 so maybe they're better now.

I've had one on my FJ for 2+ years now. No issues with it. My valve cover gaskets on the other hand...well those are just like a continuous undercoating system for the engine bay.

    Rob bought an F-150!! :goingcrazy:

Or, more likely, a new sled possibly?
I know exactly where you did that. I dropped my wife off there last year and about shit a brick going under that with the Super Duty. I thought I was going to smoke the roof of the truck. It was a very butt puckering moment but, thankfully, I only hit the antenna and the truck cleared.

I am just hitting 5K since I put mine on...Due for my first change with one...so exciting. I've been checking the dip stick occasionally to be sure it's still in there...I'll have to look for any corrosion...I also re-lube and rotate my brake caliper pins now when I do my oil change so they don't end up seized again...Mannnnn fx#$(ng rust!

Your son grew up fast; he looked a lot younger at the waterfall tour this summer...

    Congrats, though!
