    Indeed.

The shame is that with the 4cyl cars, it's completely possible to have a good sounding 4cyl, I've done it! Of course, the typical owner isn't going to drove $600 for a catback exhaust that sounds good when they can buy a $10 muffler on Ebay and weld it to stock piping.

I approached my neighbor and told him my exhaust was junk. Got it on the lift and determined the muffler and intermediate pipe had to go. I asked what is a decent muffler.?
He said Walker does. I put a Quiet Flow S on. Lifetime warranty on it. Not sure of the steel grade or rate on it (304 or whatever). But it sounds a little deeper, heavier on the sound if you will, but seems to disappear after 60ish or more or less( will have to take a better Listen I guess. Would that be considered droning noise? And I noticed an immediate improvement on performance.

As far as intake goes, do those offer any value in performance wise (MPG or HP)

In older cars intake could do something, in newer cars it's more for sound/look, unless maybe you had a super charger, or you tune your car for the updated airflow. At least that's how I understand it. I have the trd intake on my truck, and I did it for the little extra noise, I'm fully aware I didn't get any HP's

I think your new Quiet Flow sounds like it's working correctly.

Man I wish my exhaust on my evo was only 600$....
Average decent sounding Evo 8/9/10 catback is around 700 for the lower end ones I carried to almost 1400 for the higher end titanium ones. Then there are dual/quad exit for the Evo X's and it goes up more for say an HKS Legamax or something of such. I had my exhaust imported from Japan because Fujitsubo stopped being brought over to the US - it's one of the quietest aftermarket exhausts for the evo 8/9 series. Then you can go ahead and change the tone of the exhaust depending on which exhaust manifolds you run, the length of the runners etc.... It's all fun until a bearing is spun or a piston decides to hit the eject button....

Are they really that high now? Eeesh.

When I bought the World Sport 2 for my Accord it was $435 shipped, so I added a little for inflation, so I guess it's inflated much more than I thought. My STi came with the Bosal / SPT 3" and then the Cobb DP was $610, although I paid exactly $10 for it, which was so killer. At the time Mastria Subaru would take Subaru Bucks for aftermarket parts. Chase gave you 3% back in Subaru Bucks in $100 increments, so when I went out with friends I'd run everything through my card and they'd pay me back. My Cobb AccessPort was $270, downpipe $10, AEM UEGO was free, Eibach Pro-Kit springs (which I ended up selling) free and replacement seat foam was like $25.

I find myself missing the tuner world sometimes and want to go back. Unfortunately my current life and wallet disagree with me.

I sold my ST to bankroll part of my house build, fun ass little car. Had a custom tune and some nice suspension along with a ton of other mods. Took a bath on the sale tho :(

Holy crap tires cost too much:rofl:
    Stupid tires for the trailer!
On that note why is there no credit card that gets u points for buying vehicle parts?
I don't care about miles for airfare, or entertainment, or hotels! WTF don't they know there is a lot of money in vehicle parts?

    I figured it out.

I raced a triathlon at Winnipesaukee a bunch of years ago. Beautiful, crystal clear, COLD lake.

There’s a scheduled Regional KBF Bass Tounament in August. I might fish that tourney, just to revisit the lake.

Max - what species do you fish for? If it’s smallies and bucketmouths, then I’m gonna pick your brain for this tournament.

Now that you’re insulated, how does that compare to last year during cold times?

Tough to say, will take the whole season, and comparing usage against degree days...
However, i used 60 gals less last month, than dec 17. I bought 350 gallons last January, so, this month will be the real check.
But, i have an online portal with my supplier, and of course, I have been saving my invoices.

Another factor, this was only the main roof. When I get the lower roof(over mud room, half bath, and laundry) done, and windows finished being replaced, etc. With the wind, I can feel the loss.

    I will win... eventually....

Based on your posts, for you, I'm going to say that winning is when you move to a place where you can open a window on a January day to warm the house up!
