I wish mine had a heated steering wheel. I do have heated windshield wipers though lol.

My girl's XLE doesn't have heated seats. I think hers only has alloy wheels and a sunroof as options above the XE

Heated wipers? I didn't know that was a thing.

I was wishing for those yesterday while I was plowing. The snow was so fine and powdery that it kept blowing up onto the windshield, melting, and then immediately refreezing on the wipers because it was 3 degrees out.

The heated steering wheel is awesome for those cold mornings, though (like yesterday). Before the cab warms up it's a hand saver.

Yeah. It's to melt the ice that sticks to the blades. Obviously didn't help yesterday though.

Looks like you had better visibility than the car in front of you though :notsure:

Mine have a dial instead of a high/low setting. They get pretty damn toasty when set all the way up :bananadead:

Wish the FJ had that. Damn windshield is so steep the defroster doesn't hit the bottom 1/8th or so if the window, which is where the wipers are. So snow/ ice builds up there/ packs below the wipers turning the wipers into giant icicles

Well, in that picture, the blades got stuck in that position, and it was raining.

Never seen that happen before. I was just being a smartass cause the car in front of you had like 4 inches of packed snow/ice on the back window.

Saw so many people yesterday driving into Cambridge and today into work with their cars not cleared. The ice on top of snow conditions are literally the reason they have been pretty strictly enforcing that law.

The steepness on mine is between the Tacoma and FJ. I find that sometimes I have to keep switching between the defroster and the dash vents to keep the windows from fogging up.

Saw a ton this morning too. People are idiots. I actually saw a cop pull someone over this morning around 6am on my way to work in sherborn. Based on where they were when they were pulled over, they couldn't have been speeding and their car wasn't cleared off well so I think that's why they were pulled over.

The F-150's are 70° on Low, 80° on Med, and 110° on High.

I always feel medium isn't quite enough but high is too high, so I've been tempted to change Medium to 90° like I think it should be in the first place. Haven't found anyone else who has actually adjusted that yet, though, and I don't want to be the guinea pig.

Just changed my oil. Can't get the garage over 42° today. Summer project might be to put foam board on the ceiling so the heat doesn't just go up into the trusses and out through the uninsulated roof. IR thermometer said it was around 60 up there.

Mine just have a high and a low setting. High will cook you out of the seat, so of course it's what the GF prefers. Low is barely warm enough to be noticeable, and by the time it's heated the seat up you've warmed it up with your body heat anyway. So I really don't use the heated seats much, but I'm sure it'd be different if I had leather. The heated wheel is awesome this time of year, though. I use that every morning, lol.

My '17 has aftermarket heated seats that were installed at the dealers. I looked them up and the cost was a little over $100. They probably charged the PO $500 (or more) for them.

That same dealer charged me $695 for what I thought was a Toyota remote start but turned out to be a $150 aftermarket...
