I'd love to have something like that but I can't justify the cost. If I get everything done on the old DR350, I think it will be the perfect bike for me. On the list is a big bore kit, lowering links, I have a rear rim laced to a front hub so I can sort of SM it by putting a shorter, fatter tire on the front and I'm eye balling some other, smaller goodies also. I'd have more invested than the bike's worth but it would end up being the bike I'd never sell.

That's not a sport bike. Busa's are rocket ships on wheels.

Which is why I'll never own one; I get into that rhythm of 'accelerate...shift...accelerate...shift...accelerate' wayyyyy too easy to have that kind of power at my fingertips.

It's lame and slow, but I think I'm gonna get a Honda Monkey, probably next year. I plan to only ride it around my property and neighborhood so won't even register it I don't think. I like little scoot type vehicles, had a Honda Ruckus about 6 years ago that I used to cruise around Raleigh with to go to the store and back.

Wife's cousin (and pretty much best friend) died in H.S. on a bike, and her Dad almost did. Makes her very unwilling when it comes to bikes, about the only thing she says "no" to me about. She said I can get little ones if I don't take them too far away from the house tho....whipped or not I'll take it :anonymous:

Can't wait for spring this year, lots of planting to do, grass, gardens and trees! Can also paint the outside of the house and finish the back deck.

Its the last bike I'm going to buy so I figured what the hell.
I just wish I could get on it more than I do...

Yep... Accelerate to 50 MPH... shift... accelerate to 80... shift... accelerate to 100... shift

The 'Busa is still one of my all-time favorite bikes. My all time favorite is the MV Agusta. Something sexy about that 4 pipe ass end.

Exactly. It was bad enough with my 636; with a Busa I'd end up dead or in jail in no time flat, especially because they're so smooth with it that you don't notice. That was why the little Ninjette 250 was perfect; I could accelerate and shift all I wanted and unless I really worked at it she'd never break 100

I've been riding since I was 5. Ridden just about anything and everything. Have to respect the power of the Busa though. 0 - 96 MPH in first gear really wakes you up. I've put on over 30,000 miles on it alone.

I know, but, theyre a dime a dozen, parts are cheap, and easy to come by, and see below.
And, I am not willing to drop KTM money for something I may not like that much. BUT, I figure beating pn a bike like that, my Dyna will probably last longer, and go through less parts...
    Exactly.
    Um, NOPE. Most useless season.

My comment was not about winter being over, but about the desire to have 80 fucking degrees in April. That’s a big no no.

Now, winter being useless, I completely disagree. It keeps tourist and bug populations down. Oh, and it weeds out the whinny wimps.

We say the same about yall during the summer back home....
Though, I will agree regarding bugs.
Not offended at all. Without going into detail, things changed for me over the last year and a half, and the ability to physically tolerate cold temps, has become null.
And I love 80s and up. Ride in a tshirt if I want, machines run good, etc.
    How about 70s? Compromise?
Sick and tired of being cold.

Believe me, if my current issue had arisen BEFORE I took this job, i would not be up here risking fingers and toes.
