I would in a second if I could. I’d have a tough time convincing my wife to leave her family. Being close to her family is important and I don’t think she would consider being even a few hours away. Despite the fact that she’s in awe every time we’re up in northern NH...

What are some good places/towns to explore up there. Might be a good region for a quick 2-3 day trip this spring/summer.

Countless places. Hiking the presidentials. Great views everywhere.

There’s the flume gorge, pretty sweet hike around a bunch of waterfalls with some good history; costs money though and is full of tourists. I’d reccomend it personally. https://www.nhstateparks.org/visit/park-sites/flume-gorge

Lincoln is a cool town to check out; right off 93, where Loon is located. Bunch of good restaurants but again gets touristy. Has a couple adventure ropes parks and stuff if your into that. If you head east out of Lincoln you hit the kancamagus highway. Amazing drive, and plenty of great hiking.

    And Mount Washington, of course.

I’m sure I haven’t even scraped the surface.

I had to actually think where reverse sits in the Vette. Each 6MT I've owned has had reverse in a different spot. The only one I haven't had is reverse next to 2nd. I think I liked the Subaru the most. It was next to 6th with a lift up collar to open the gate. I drove a Sentra SE-R Spec-V years ago that had reverse next to 6th without a very positive lock-out and I was petrified of going into reverse at speed.

Did a thing yesterday, bought my first Benchmade knife... It'll be my EDC on the job site. I've kept my last old Gerber for almost 15 years and it's taken a beating, time to replace it. Should be here in a few days. I keep hearing about their quality, hopefully they live up to the hyp.

My EDC work knife is a cheap Klein($20?). Has held up great the last couple years. Its beat to snot, etc.
Still using a Gerber for my EDC when not at work.

I have a CRKT. It is nice for a very good price.
Also have a Leek that I just got about a month ago. Very nice EDC for the price. Have to work on the lock a bit.

Thanks, I went to Mnt Washington as a kid and my brother was mentioning the other day I should go back as an adult. I would want to stay away form the touristy areas, that K highway sounds the right direction! Just park and hike, or drive and drive.

I have a ranger, and have been thinking about those trails, I've heard lots of good things. Might be fun to just park at the start and be in the ranger for a few days!
Rain, snow, 2 feet or 6 inches...doesn't seem like anyone knows. What are you thinking?

I've had the cheap Gerber for quite a while. It went dull long, long ago so I just beat the hell out of it. It's loose and sloppy and now, finally retired. I do have a Kershaw that I was using and I really like it, but it's a little too big to fit in my vest and I usually get looks when I pull it out (it's a big scary black 'tactical' knife apparently). Not the intent when I bought it, but whatever. I keep it in my truck and it gets used, just needed something that tucks into my vest a little easier. I bought a Benchmade proper folder. Should be a nice little knife.

I have always enjoyed driving up through the whites, and then come back down through the greens.
