86K on truck and I am thinking about changing oil in transfer case ( think I got that right). Anyone have any videos or diagrams on process , or a thread to point me in right direction?

    Thanks

Couldn't wait any longer for warmer temps. Brought it right inside to the living room floor. Tailgate inserts checked off my listIMG_20190216_132207365.jpg

It’s pretty straight forward. There are 2 plugs on the rear of the transfer case, one to drain, one to fill. GET THE FILL PLUG OUT FIRST. If you get the drain plug out and the fill one is stuck, you are ridiculously screwed so pull the drain plug first. After that, it’s just like an oil change, drain the old oil, replace the drain plug and fill it until oil just starts to seep out of the fill port. You’ll either need one of those manual oil pumps or to get creative with the quarts of oil to get enough into the case (you can’t get the quart vertical so get it to drain out).

If this is the first time doing the xfer case, i’m Assuming you haven’t serviced the front or rear differential either? If so, you should do them also. Same process, pull the fill plug first, drain then refil until fluid seeps out of the fill port.

Edit: just saw you have a 2008 Sport so, if and when to service the rear end, make sure you get the limited slip additive.

Where’d you get those? I wonder if it’s the same place that sells the letters I bought for my Super Duty.

So what actually happened? I see that BAMF bought the lot, but what’s going on with it? Was it crowd funded?

Mainly Jberry and Jlee but they had a few silent partners. $131K.

They're trying to hook up people who got shafted and selling stuff for a good deal right now before having to move it all to BAMF.

That’s awesome! I figured it was going to be something good since it started with JBerry and BAMF.
