When you're a driving professional it's no sweat, the 4 wheelers seriously pull some dumbass moves. The views are awesome if you know what I mean, especially in the summer time ;)

Women and children first is what I think . Seems to me that your doing whatever it takes and that is huge. A positive attitude will and the right opportunity will come by. Good luck.

I’m up here (Cornish NH) helping my folks out this week.

Any chance any of you guys have a small, inexpensive, camper for sale?

Looking for a small pop up or something to use this summer, until we figure out what kind of tow rig / camping situation we want to go with.

Nice. I’ve been fiddling with an Eaton Fuller for the last ten years now.

I enjoyed driving for a living much more up here though...

Its not my shop. Would be the same BS in another. Its niche specific. Basically, why I am researching my options.

Sorry, expression. I solve peoples problems, so they stay operational. Service Tech.

Thanks. I will always do what is needed. May not be happy about it, but, it will get done.

    @mach1man001
Good for you man. That A is versatile. HAZMAT, and tanker, you can drive anything. Get your unrestricted hoisting lic, and you drive/operate cranes.
Get cold, spend a winter down south hauling crude($$$$)
My stepfather hauls milk, and does pretty well too.

@mach1man001 I know that there are companies around us (fathers included) that have been having a hell of a time finding truckers. You will find a good job right away. Good choice!

Do some research when/if you are looking for companies to work for driving. I manage about 40 class A and over the years have heard too many times of companies offering GREAT pay only to find out they get stuck in states waiting 2 weeks for a load out. Or companies that pay very well but their benefits are very costly. One guy laughed at our starting pay only to realize he was paying 3 times more for his benefits and in the long run our pay/benefits were better.

Hate interjecting with the current conversation, congrats btw on pursuing something that makes you happy definitely not the easiest move to make, but just wanted to take a moment to say hello. New to the world of Tacoma's and had used this site heavily in making my decision in going with a Taco. Unfortunately I'm in a lease so off roading and modifications are pretty limited, but you've got to start somewhere? So hello and thanks in advance for your patience with my questions! Looking forward to hopefully catching up with some of the other locals!

    Cheers

Its a BS thread.. interject.... interrupt. Just bring drinks and bbq.....

    Welcome.

And just because its a lease, doesnt mean you cant wheel it, or make it your own.
Just know you will take the hit in the end if you turn it in.
Mine had about 600 miles on it, when I went and "broke in" the locker....

    Thanks for the greetings!
I've been known to brew a mean red ale and smoke a bad ass (is that allowed?) Brisket . However that was all BC.

The hope is to end up just purchasing it when it's all said and done. Figured the current lease deal was the cheapest way to get into a new one. This actually my first new vehicle so I'm pretty pumped .

What does "break in locker" mean. Complete noob.

Nice. The off road comes with undercarriage armor, correct?

Had you ever off roaded before? Last time I had a truck off road it was an accident and I completely mangled it up, about 3k worth of damage, so needless to say I am a bit hesitant .

Sliders and skids are must have if you plan to play on rocks. But if your looking for a nice trail ride on easy trails you dont need them. Take it slow and avoid rocks you'll be good.

Great ones are pretty difficult to come across. I recently had "Simply Red" by Lithermans. It was really good. At 9% it creeps up on you pretty good too.

@Chasespeed how close to Treehouse are you?

This is what I'm hoping to do! Get a bit of mud on it. Avoid any major bumps and bruises. Maybe camp out depending on location.
