@mach1man001 I remember you saying you knew a roof basket you'd buy. I'm wondering what one that was, currently shopping for one to temporarily mount to the wife's rogue then put on the truck cap after use.

I posted this in the 4Runner section but way more action in this thread so figured two is better than one.

4Runner down in PA i was thinking of driving out to look at. Opinions?

Quick backstory - I have a 99 with a bad frame, new (old) 4Runner is in my future. Plan was to travel west this summer and drive home but the prices I see out there are INSANE. Frame looks good on this one and owners says garage kept. Color is meh. Right year (wanted 99 or 00) and 4WD. I have a lot of parts to swap over so small details aren’t killer.

    What’s the thoughts?!

One of my coaches showed us a video last night he took on his way to practice of an SUV inferno on 93 just north of Concord...think he said near mile marker 50. Anyone see/hear about that?

So I was on that fence but a few areas would need patching, the truck has a constant vibration over 70MPH I haven’t been able to chase down, head gasket looks bad after a coolant leak and the engine ran hot (coolant in my oil last oil change) and a few small things to fix.

I’m at the awkward point of fix or replace. For the prices I’ve seen, I was closer to fix but I think if cash talks and the frame is in good shape like it looks, replace is the way to go. I need a vehicle for another 2 years ideally. By that time I’m working full time, paid off a bunch of school loan and can think long term for vehicles.

Makes sense, I didn't realize you were having issues with coolant in the oil

Just drain all the coolant out; no coolant, no mixing. Problem solved
