I use the crates as wood bins for around my house and disassemble them in the spring.

I change out the soil each year in the boxes and add it to my flower gardens. So it’s easy

I’m surprised yours lasted as long as they did! I think mine were rattling and removed inside of 3 years

Think mine started rattling after 7 years. New hose clamp fixed it.

    Hey everyone,

Are any meetups happening anytime soon? There doesn't seem to be many in the RI/CT/MA area. Semi new to TW and especially this thread.

    Welcome

There are a couple of threads about meetups. There is also one about a fluid film being done. If someone doesn't beat me to it I'll try to post them shortly.

I think my 4Runner is going to be a bigger debris magnet than the Tacoma was. Something flew off of a bigger truck earlier and chipped paint down to the metal just above the windshield. Might cover it with some vinyl till it gets fixed.

DNA motoring. Took a chance and so far seems pretty good. Might paint it with bedliner over their cost just as precaution and replace the hardware with stainless. Also going to get a big star wars decal to go over the wind deflector.

I would definitely do the coating and hardware ideas! The star wars decals = not so much. Lol

Morning folks! @jpereira2 , most certainly do the coating and the change of hardware. I wish I did it with my basket. I did change the hardware but didnt think about the coating. If you do have it on your truck all the time though you will get annoyed with the wind noise and lack of mpg no matter how good the wind deflector is. Morning rob @mach1man001 ! Any good wheeling trips being planned soon?
