80 isn't even warm. That's like almost warm enough to be pleasant.

I'll post here in August when it's 110* with 90% humidity. That's hot.

Y'all should come visit! There is a ton of great offloading around here.

These statements don't mesh. Clearly the heat has addled your brain.

Warmest temp I saw today was 32 on the nose, and it's currently snowing again. Only supposed to pick up an inch or three between now and tomorrow, though.

When I was in Raleigh one of my dogs would lay with his head out the dog door and his body on the ac vent inside the house. Always thought besides throwing my energy bill out the window it was a pretty good idea.

    The best of both worlds!

Well y'all know, I was always cold in Boston. As soon as fall hit I was freezing until June when it warmed up to 70 again. I've got the same comfort range as y'all, but mine starts at like 70-80 haha

I thought that was one of thier best specials yet! I think John had a major issue with the transfer case, but the driveline was built by Land Rover, so that answers that!

Definitely. I don't think it had low range either which is silly. I thought they were going to break something with all the bucking trying go up stuff

I’d hold that thought until you see pictures of those areas from August thru say about May. But yes, it was absolutely gorgeous.
It had no shocks which i’m sure didn’t help. The chassis was also bolted together rather than a single frame which makes things a little more unstable, i’m sure. I’m surprised how well that field built car did overall though.

I actually ran out of oil today, about a month ago we stopped running the pellet stove as much, because it will heat us out of the house. Well when I looked at the oil gauge on Sunday, it was an oh shit need to order now. These last 3 weeks haven’t been cold enough or warm enough. It’s been just right to make me need oil about a month early.

Should be back to using black gold tomorrow.

I ran out of propane the other week. Couldn't believe how fast we were going through it. Guy who refilled it said it was happening a lot this winter. Our place we stay at is gusty and some of this wind and cold this winter just constantly stripped the heat out of the house.

I was also surprised nothing broke when they were climbing those hills, but I did hear them in the episode to put into low, but it didn't seem to help much :notsure:.
Really, it had no shocks!? I guess I completely missed that...

If you need to replace your tank, now is the time.
I waited till MT and just added 5 or 10 gallons of Diesel for about 2 weeks until the weather changed enough, about 5 years ago.
Then I sawzalled it horizontally, scooped out about 10 gal. of oil and crap then a friend and I took it out.
A week or so later a scrapper asked if he could have it.
I said "Sure", just don't drag it on the grass.

The Mongolia special was really good but I still think the Vietnam Top Gear Special was #1 in my book followed by the North Pole Top Gear Special a close second.
