I'm converting most of my lawn to clover this year. Spread a bunch of Dutch White seed out into the lawn a couple of days ago, before it started raining. Should cut down on my mowing requirements this summer, with the added bonus of feeding the bees AND not turning brown & crispy in August.

If I owned the house I live in, I would do the same. Do you have to treat the lawn prior to kill the grass or will the clover just take over in time?

I decided to bring the bolsters to an upholstery shop in Manchester. Just hope it's not going to take too long. I'm taking them off the boat tomorrow.

Supposedly the clover eventually takes over. Apparently it grows faster than the grass once the initial 'spring burst' is over and crowds/shades it out. You'll have to 'spot seed' every few years to keep even coverage with the clover, apparently, but it's still a lot less effort than mowing twice a week in the spring.

I called the local Lesco dealer and told them I have nut sedge, mouse ear, crab grasses, carpet weed ,and another I can’t think of at the moment. Told of some stuff to put down only if I haven’t de thatched ,power broomed , or vigorously raked( which I did) . Doing so helps put the seed into the loosened soil to start germination. Especially with the spring rains. So I’m late with that. Told me of s product that I need to use like today ( can’t think of either product name . Sleep cobwebs.) that could work but at $79 I will just do a weed and feed

My lawn is horrific but I don't own it, so screw it. I only really need to mow 2 or 3 times a year.

I was just thinking about doing this too. Maybe I'll seed in the fall for next spring. I'm interested in seeing your results.

Seems like way too much work. I just overseeded the existing lawn. If it works, great. If not, meh. Not like I put a lot of maintenance into the lawn anyway

Regular watering and fertilizing obviously helps with a good lawn. Then my wife will complain about the water bill so I’m not sure when and if I will ever win that battle. But I at least want to keep the weeds down if I can

That's cool that you can weld through it. I wonder if that 'expires' so to speak.

No its the stainless steel that allows it to be welded through. I don't think that would expire. Another nice thing about it is you can just touch it up when needed

I have not heard of it, but it does look neat. I like that they sell it in an aerosol can, along with brush/roll-on cans. And that they are located in MA!

Question, can you paint OVER it and how does that effect it? I can't really find anything quickly looking, from the website it says they don't offer it in colors due to negative side effects to durability.
    Awesome thanks!

And in other news. I am the proud new owner of a lovingly used 8x40x8.5 shipping container. Should be here Monday, in either Bage, Deep Red or Dark Blue. We will stash it in a corner by the highway where there are tall hills with trees on two sides which should hide it mostly from people driving by and completely from guests having weddings.

I am hoping it isn't in too bad of condition rust wise, comes with 5 year guarantee of seals, floors and doors. After I clean it up a bit I will then use my cousins paint spray machine and hit it with a darker color that will blend in to people driving by. From what I have gathered a DTM paint will be best option, let me know if you have other ideas.

Should fit both cars in the winter if needed and other wise all the toys/equipment and one car. No building permit needed, not preparing a pad and cheaper than a 10x12 shed and my brother is interested in buying it if we build a garage and don't want it after. Not the prettiest option, but I'm gonna call it a win :bananadance:

Anyone wants to mod day in a shipping container, you just let me know!
