    Keeping with the dog name theme, we just submitted our application to adopt a pup yesterday! We're just getting the application in and hopefully approved for now, likely won't actually get a pup until late fall/early winter.

    After your experience, I figured i'd start the process early! I'm looking at the Second Change one someone mentioned on here earlier, and New England Lab Rescue out of Maine.

    It certainly is. We just have to wait a little bit so we have the time to dedicate to training a pup. I think we're going to adopt one in the 4-9 month old range, so sort of out of the initial puppy phase but still very young.

    Fall is a good time to shop (model years, college kids w/c.c. Bills, etc) but I get it. I bought a cheap Full suspension (Jamis dakar) and rode the piss out of it for the first winter. Got me in shape, proved I enjoyed and would do it, and I learned to wrench on a “modern” bike. Sold it for what I paid in the spring and bought something a little better and have just moved my way up...great sport, and other than mileage, a tacoma is an ideal vehicle for it!

    @Pugga @jethro @Noelie84

    I’m getting the boat ready for this weekend and am stuck.

    Did oil change, now doing gear oil. Instructions say to shoot into lower oil drain until it comes out top. The bottles of gear oil have a long spout to do just that....but it’s not working? It just basically stays in the same spot.

    So do I need a special pump or something?

    Gear oil, are you talking the boat or the truck? Based on what you're saying, I'm guessing the boat in which case, I have absolutely no idea.

    You can buy a pump for like $10 on Amazon (and probably for a lot more at a marina) but what I did was thread in a bleeder for a brake master cylinder, since I had one on hand already. Then I just had to hook up a rubber hose and squeezed it in. :notsure:

    I don't have one of the brake bleeder. Hopefully not much more at marina as it isn't right on water. If it is much more than 10, I will have the wife order one on prime. I meant to do this stuff last week and now I have limited time, so don't want to wait on shipping in case there is another issue I need to work out after I change the fluids and get fresh gas in there.
