So who's got a wiring diagram for a third GEN? Asking for a friend who may have nicked a wire loom that runs down the driver side of the frame :spy::frusty:

Well, I think he was teaching a guy and it was the student that screwed up, I heard a lot of scolding on down in the basement.

No, just portables. I like to move around a lot, so I have a huge flip over I use. But I have a lot of buddies at Newfound that have hardsides and a few buddies over at Winnipesaukee as well. I stay in my flip overnight all the time, it's got a bunk built into it, it's quite a house.

Looks like a nice set up! You ever seen anyone moving around out there with one of those “snow dog” track things? Been sort of eyeing them as a cheap if slow way to make walking trails open in the winter on my property. Just really unsure about them!

I need to put some thought into where I'm going to put mine. Half of me wants to keep it simple and do Horace or Massasecum. Right down the road. But I also would like to go somewhere with a real solid bite and less pressure. I've still got my portable as well.

Several of the mountain bike clubs around this region have Snow Dogs that they use for winter trail grooming. They seem happy enough with them. I've seen them used for hauling materials in a trailer during the summer too, so I know they're capable.

Yeah, tough call. Horace sucks these days, I don't know what happened to the stocking of it the last few years, used to be you could wrangle some pretty good rainbows outta there. I think they need to reclassify it or maybe it's just been a bad few years for the hatcheries. I know they had a major issue at New Durham but I thought that was just salmon. And they lost about 45,000 units at Nashua when that closed down last year. Maybe consider Clement? There is a pretty good black crappie fishery there and it's not that far, but it's small and actually does get pressure. Massasecum sure is close but I fish it so much open water that I don't usually bother for hardwater even though it's 10 minutes from my house.

I have not seen anyone using them here, but I am sure I will this year. There are a lot of guys on my ice fishing forum that are huge fans of it. If I didn't snowmobile there is a big chance I would have one, I really like the idea of it. Not sure if I agree with the "cheap" comment though, the bigger one is north of $3700 before adding a reverse gear, and there is no way I would own one of those without a reverse gear. And I wouldn't own the small one if using it to haul, especially on ice.

If you want to check out www.iceshanty.com, there are a lot of people talking about them.

I was thinking of getting the trail groom adapter and a basket to tow the little dogs around on the longer winter treks... it’s interesting to hear the biking clubs are using them, I was wondering how they held hills. I have some very steep terrain. Buddy on his ktm couldn’t make it up a section of our trails just yesterday, the 4wheelers do it’s though.

Try finding a skandic with the big motors... that’s the only snow mobile I’ll buy, so compared to that, $3700 isn’t so bad...

happy to hear people like them though, I’m not sure I’ll pony up for it, but the more good I hear, the more I consider it.

There's lots of cookie cutter browns at Island Pond in Washington. Not the greatest parking situation though. I think I caught a dozen of them on this day:
